I know the season ended on a very very sour note, but this group of seniors amassed a ton of win, and brought Iowa basketball back so we can get pissed at losing in the NCAA tournament, not the 1st rd of the big ten.

I was going to post a thread like this, I agree with your thoughts, They helped bring the program back out of the depths and made Iowa basketball respectable again. Yes today sucked, But the overall body of work is something to be proud of, Classy group of guys that represented Iowa very, Very well. Good luck in the future.

I just don't know how to evaluate these seniors. On the one hand there's everything the OP said. 3 straight NCAA tournament appearances is pretty special. But then there's everything else. Their effort in this Nova game was pathetic. It's the NCAA tournament! It could be your last college game! Seemed like they didn't care. I just think these guys will be remembered as the what could have been senior class. Did some good things but you have to wonder if they could have accomplished more.

Yup, this one stings but the IA seniors have done so much for the program. NIT finals, 3 NCAA tourney appearances, 2 NCAA tourney wins.

And most importantly, great kids that represented the University very well. Academic all american.

You will be remembered by the reasonable fans as quality kids that help bring the IA basketball program out of the sewer.

I too want to thank the players for the last four years. Could have been better, but all in all very respectable. We probably just need more talent to get to where we all want the program to be.

Thanks Seniors for choosing Iowa, or coming back (JU). You represented the University and state very well and helped make the program relevant again, bringing a lot of disillusioned fans back. You built and left a solid foundation.
