Actually the OP and you are calling for exactly that...you want Chicago residents to stay in Chicago.
I'm not sure how you confused our positions so badly.

I see, so you are one of those who points an angrily shaking finger at government and yells "FOR SHAME", and then turns around and, as a wise businessman, utilizes all of those "for shames" for your own financial benefit.
Brilliant. I also enjoy your belief that landlords do this to stop the dredged from being homeless, which is either naive or just bullshit.
You are doing a great job confusing the real issue in this thread. The real issue is the fact iowans are being displaced/unable to get the assistance they need because out of state people are gaming the system. You seem completely unconcerned about them.
Well you are all over the place trying to blame everyone and everything but the folks who are actually at fault. So tell me, what do you claim is the real issue? That iowa doesn't have enough young people? You gonna stick with that insight?Lol at this being the "real issue."
Yeah I'm sure you guys are worried about Dubuque's poor not getting housing...
And that your worry isn't with the poor criminal blacks from Chicago.
At least one person was honest in this thread.

Why are you so afraid just to state your position? You probably need to re-read my posts.
IC schools are great, that is one of the biggest reasons my wife and I moved back to Iowa. I am worried about how the influx will affect the overall quality in a few years. The teachers are doing a great job for now, but so many kids are coming in now that are far behind their IC contemporaries.Of course, we've had the same issue here in IC, and I have mixed feelings about it. There certainly was an attempt by the Democratic establishment to pretend that there was no increase in crime, until it became so obvious, that now they just ignore the issue. On the other hand, we are ALL Americans. I think if we're ever going to solve the problem of the black "underbelly" of generational poverty, crime and drugs, we have to break up the large city swamps that are swallowing these folks. Some of the Chicago people that came to IC probably did just come here for free housing and welfare, but I'm sure many came here for better schools and a better life for their kids, and they are getting it. The schools have made tremendous efforts to this end. At first, the folks coming in were sort of invisible; they just apparently hung around the section 8 part of town, but over the last couple of years, more and more, they are out entering the work force, and are also entering other aspects of our community... and I think that's really cool, and frankly heartwarming. Yes, it's irritating that Chicago has been closing section 8 housing and that Iowa taxpayers are taking on the burden of educating the uneducated, as well as a host of other social costs, but it is what it is, and rather than just complaining about something we can't undo, let us try our hardest to make a great success of it, give people a chance to become valued members of our communities, and hopefully show the rest of the country how it can be done. We will be a better country... and better Iowans.
It all makes sense now.
Shame on you, Obama:

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (KWWL) -
An unexpected surprise Christmas Day -- as a man robs a Stop-N-Go gas station in Platteville with a handgun.
Police say a man walked in to the gas station on the 700 block of Water Street Friday night around 9 p.m.
The incident isn't sitting well with community members. "It scared the -- out of me. This is small town Platteville," said Bill Bartels, who grew up there.
While no one was injured, police say the man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and a bank bag.
He also grabbed a bag of Cheetos -- the Flamin Hot kind.
Police say he wasn't alone. A second person was waiting outside the Stop-N-Go.
Witnesses say they were both seen running west from the gas station.
Now, some in Platteville say the town just isn't the same anymore. "Because of our university, we're getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Drawing in diverse...you, know, ethnics. So, its uh...it's a little scary," added Bartels.
Police do have a description of the suspect inside the store. He's described as a thin, tall, black male. He was wearing a red Pelle Pelle brand jacket -- also tie-died pants.
All police know of the second suspect is that he was wearing all black clothing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Platteville Police Department at 608-348-2313.
