I watched this documentary on Amy Winehouse the other night, pretty incredible. It paints a much different picture than I imagined from her public persona.
I was especially moved by something Tony Bennett said after she died. They had worked together on a number of duets and he was deeply moved by her. He said that if she had lived he would have told her "slow down, you're too important. Life teaches you really how to live it, if you live long enough." Frank Sinatra had given him similar advice when he was battling cocaine addiction early in his career.
