The Athletic: Even the men can't stop Caitlin Clark

From what I could read sounds real interesting.

Could somebody copy and paste? Is that legal?

it's amazing how easy CC makes it look, I play in a dad's club BB league (35-50 year old's) and grown ass men have a tough time getting off a deep 3FG and she's dropping them from the logo with little effort.

it's just not right.
Silly you. Smaller ball makes a big difference. She literally shoots every htree jumping forward which isn't a bad thing to do, but if you're being closely guarded, you can't do that. Oh, and rarely is she even guarded when shooting a three.

You're being pretty liberal with the use of the words "every" and "rarely." I'd say you're pretty off on both counts. She is pretty closely guarded the instant she gets over the half court line. Does she have open looks at times? Of course she does but to say she is not closely guarded around the 3-point line is absurd. You are correct with the small ball comment, however.

Curious, what shooting coaches do you have experience with?

Asking for a friend.

Hmm..... And women have smaller hands. Not to mention all the records she's setting are held by women who used the same ball. Well except for Griner who has huge hands and was 6'8", so she probably could have used the bigger ball. As for the "rarely guarded" crack, your either blind or your just making shit up. She gets ipen by her footwork, and that crazy stepback. NO ONE has ever shot more contested three's then Clark. Jackie Styles was a great scorer, and she would not have been able to get her shot off like Clark does, not matter who's guarding her..

Yes. 1" smaller in circumference and 2 ounces lighter.
I believe the all time women's leading scorer before the NCAA took over women's basketball used the same ball as today's mens game. Please correct me if I'm wrong. To lazy to look it up today.

You have seen her step back 3, correct? You know like the 30 footer for the win with the Michigan St girl right in her face? Absolutely nobody in the women’s game has that shot. You’re ridiculous.

No, it's not legal. Take out a subscription and support a publication that does a pretty damned good job of covering sports, you cheap bastard. News IS NOT free.

An article is not news and the athletic will be out of business in the not too distant future anyway 😉
