Call me crazy, but it’s my opinion that in about 15 months or so, a bunch of people will be shaking their heads that they ever thought JuJu would catch CC.
CC’s productivity just went off the charts her final two seasons, the two seasons she played the most games. For cripes sake she averaged nearly 32 a game her senior year over 39 games! That’s a big number to try and stay ahead of.
I just think if JuJu is going to match that production, those points are going to have to come from some of her other teammates. With CC, they came from nowhere. She didn’t take them from anyone else; she just created them. If CC scored 30 instead of 40, it just meant that Iowa ended up scoring 10 fewer points that night. It’s not like they showed up in someone else’s box score, for the most part.
Let’s say that JuJu ends up needing to average 30+ over 39 freaking games her senior season. How does the USC coach handle that? Where does she place that history chase relative to team goals and team chemistry? On a team with significantly more “name talent” than CC’s teams ever had?
