The Bowls aren't done yet!

There is a national championship. If you’re not in the Playoff, you’re not playing for it. Once the Playoff is set, all of the other games are meaningless. The regular season is over, and you’re not in the playoffs. Where does that leave you?

Kirk didn’t have anything to lose. He wasn’t going to play in the NFL. He’s a hack who made a career off of amateur athletics and fan-driven content.
Soooo... why play another game after your team loses one or two regular season games?

Why even practice if you're playing for a team that rarely-if-ever makes the CFP?

You're really making a stupid, shallow argument that the only time you should play is if your team can win the whole damned thing.

I’ve already addressed why opting out early in the season wouldn’t work. You are arguing that kids should jeopardize their families and their futures so that they can win meaningless games while not getting paid.

Should they all stay for their senior seasons, too? Dropping out of school isn’t quitting on your team? Or are you more comfortable with that analogous situation?

They can do whatever they wanna do. It's just helping to ruin the game.

Your definition of "meaningful game" is when your team is possibly going to play for the championship. Otherwise, it's meaningless. Rewarding kids to quit on their teammates, their coaches, their schools, and the fans, is detrimental to the GAME. And, without the GAME, there won't be ANY money to be made.

You can get hurt in practice. Putting the love of money before everything is a decay to society. And, Americans are all-in when it comes to making money before everything else! lol

All of that applies to leaving early. FSU would have had another championship in 2014, if all of the players that left early had stayed. They all left for personal financial reasons. I’ve never for a second thought they quit on the team.

Well, they did quit on their team. You can church-it-up and use the euphemism of "opting-out" and encourage more people to quit on their team, if you like. That's another thing Americans are great at- creating euphemisms to mask the truth.
