The Elon Musk Twitter shitshow

The more things change, the more they stay the same…

New highland, with new quicksilver paint…still having QA/QC issues. One of many videos out there:

And before a moron poster replies: No, I didnt have these issues on any of my vehicles, but yes, you could scratch my vehicles with a huge pry bar.

Yeah new production vehicles loaded with space grade technological advances will have some issues. That’s what happens when you are on the cutting edge of innovation. Still refining and dialing in the manufacturing process.
Dude talked about it a decade ago and they can't keep them on the road.

Materials, steering, voltage architecture.

All existed before the cybertruck.

-300 series Stainless steel is everywhere.
-Steer by wire already used in multiple platforms.
-48V architecture used in telecom, aircraft (comm network related), and cars (mild-hybrid Audis as ex).

Again…what’s “space made?” Are all the recalls associated with these three?

There is a frantic Google search going on right now...

Think i would buy a chevy, ford or dodge before i buy a truck that has 6 recalls and will have more.
One of my staff had to leave work early today so he could pick up his F150 from the dealership in Bainbridge.

He bought it new in 2020 when bottom dropped out of the car market (around May).

Ford recalled some 2020 Ford F-150 vehicles due to a transmission issue:
The transmission could suddenly and unexpectedly shift down to first gear, at any speed

And this week I got a recall notice on my Honda Ridgeline (2020-2024 affected) rear view camera mount can break, has to be replaced.

I can't even remember what the recall was for on my wife's Honda Odyssey a few months ago, she just mentioned she was going to take it in.

It's almost like these things happen.

But people only post about Tesla (when they don't even own them).

Not weird at all.

Maybe make a thread about Hondas 🤷‍♂️…or add to existing ridgeline thread.

“People only post about Tesla”

I have owned a Tesla and don’t find me commenting on them weird at all.

Be sure your passengers know how to open the doors is the power is off. There are two stories in the past couple weeks of passengers burning to death after crashes because they couldn’t get out of the vehicle because they didn’t know where the manual release were hidden.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings on electronic handles. The (no pic) wife’s new car has this as well. Clever manual release mechanism as a fail safe, but not intuitive, and different than a Tesla. Does feel like a safety concern when you factor in panic and familiarity into any emergency exit type situations.

Are you illiterate or just easily fooled?

Yeah, that clearly violates a number of federal requirements as well as state laws, which apply because they’re not yet in office.

“or multilateral organization”
It is neither

And they are taking "applications" via DMs, which means they're also collecting personal information that "X" would normally not have and is required for a job application (particularly a federal one).

This is the corruption you voted for: they are going to hire lackeys in govt positions and gut the regular civil servants from those positions.
Musk will rake in billions (to make up for his X losses) and our government will both lose capability, and a shitload of money that will all be "borrowed" thru higher deficit spending.
