Trump often leaves himself a loophole to claim deniability. He did the same with January 6; while he tweeted 'protest peacefully,' this one statement doesn’t negate the other inflammatory comments he made that fueled the insurrection.
Nobody is normalizing anything, the left is flat out lying about what was said. If you're worried about getting people killed, then the truth should be what is shared, not inflammatory bullshit.
