Being from Nebraska living in Sw Iowa since 1978,I assure you not all us Husker fans are beating the drums of dominance. I keep a low profile as not to antagonize the golden Hawk fans. I attend a few games a year and its true about the game day experience.Last years Iowa game was a wonderful rare 70 degree afternoon. We partied like none other with the Hawk fans because with your happiness of getting to kick our a$$,we new our time was coming to an end with Ryley. I'm not saying it could happen with your fan base,but suppose it was the Hawkeys in the 90's that went 60-3.Is it fair to state that maybe some of your fans still alive from that time may hold out even on the slimmest of hope's that someday that sun could shine again.
I'm in agreement that those that continually ram history in opposing fans faces are just jerks that probably are that in all aspects of their lives.

I understand completely. Growing up in Sioux City, I encountered plenty of obnoxious Husker fans..... unbearable, really. Its hard to describe it to someone from Eastern Iowa because it seems as though you are exaggerating when in actually you are not.
All of the conversations you had with Husker diehards that you posted sound so damn familiar. Nothing will dissuade them of their superiority - nothing. Its as though the 40+ point wins the last couple of years never happened because..… Tom Osborne, the '90s, home sellouts, and an endless list of next All-American recruits.
Finding a reasonable Husker fan is like meeting a 25 year old virgin. They're hard to find and deep down you don't believe them.. They do exist though.
