Let me be the first to officially support Nebraska Coach Mike Riley. Nebraska needs such coaches, and I as an Iowa fan would be saddened to see him go.

I know they fired their AD. Maybe they can hire Barta to give Riley a 10 year contract.
The announcer said Riley has a 4 or 5 year plan in place the fans should be patient and let it work out
Let's all just pray that cooler heads prevail in these trying times...

Your assertion lacks any credibility; however, the fact that your football team is in last place and owns the lowest ranking of all B1G schools, to use your words, is really a "laughing stock of CFB".....as is your mostly empty stadium on game day, love those IL fans.

It's very obvious that Urban Meyer is on board as well. He called off the dogs early in the fourth quarter or he could have put 75 points on them. He certainly thinks it's good for the Big Ten if Mike Riley were to remain the head coach at Nebraska

It's only a matter of time til they look to leave the B1G. When they came in and had moderate success, it was because Michigan and Penn State were down. Throw in the annual Iowa and Wisconsin games - of which it's a 75% chance they lose one - and they're structurally incapable of the success that they achieved while beating up on the Big 8 and Big 12 North. They'd be better off win/loss wise by going independent and foregoing the B1G money that's resulting in making them mediocre.
The next step is to write the Nebraska board of regents, chancellor, and president voicing our support for Coach Mike.
As much as I like the "Lovie Smith" look out of Mike Riley on the sidelines, the longer I watched, the more disinterested I became. I really think they need to bring back:

There's a lot of truth in this. Neb will never be able to compete in the B1G. This conference is just to big time for Neb.
Neb & ISU should consider the Mountain West.
Nebraska's big opportunity to be a top dog again will come once Oklahoma leaves the B12. Bowlsby will come begging to get them back to keep that conference afloat!
Correct me if I'm wrong didn't you guys lose at home by double digits to Rutgers yesterday. Giving them their first conference win in 17 games. Illini football fans are the last people in the world talking crap.
