It might not be a "conspiracy," but I think it's fair to say she's been black balled (especially when it comes to the Olympics).
And that includes her coach. It might not be a "conspiracy," but I think it's fair to say she's been black balled (especially when it comes to the Olympics).
I hope her press conference last Sunday lived up to your expectations. You brought it up about 8 times during the game.full text of tweet:
Caitlin Clark after Angel Reese taunted her in the 2023 Natty:
“I don’t think Angel should be criticized”
CC after Chennedy Carter hip checked her:
“Basketball is competitive; I get it”
CC after Angel Reese’s flagrant foul:
“It’s just part of basketball; it is what it is”
Caitlin Clark after she gives an honest answer about not getting advice from opposing veterans who have been vocally against her for months:
“White girl weaponzing being a damsel in distress”
Unreal
If a white woman said that all hell would break loose. What a racisit biotch she is. Some of these people are, let's say, not too brightfull text of tweet:

It just so happens, in this case, to be the people you described. When a pattern is clearly discernable it behoves one to point out the obvious. Some of you have been trained really well by the media to look for the black women and/or the gay people to blame for whatever’s wrong.
Wtf...the media is the exact opposite of what you claim. Black women and gays/ or both are worshipped by mediaSome of you have been trained really well by the media to look for the black women and/or the gay people to blame for whatever’s wrong.
That’s exactly it. It’s because they’re JEALOUS. It has nothing to do with their race or sexuality. I guarantee you there there are a bunch of straight white women in the WNBA who are jealous as hell of Clark.Well black women and gay women in this instance are jealous of Caitlin. No training needed.
lol if this were true angel wouldn’t be getting a free pass for her antics, let alone be celebrated by every black analyst as the “clear choice” for roty. The treatment she’s received has been more than obvious. That’s exactly it. It’s because they’re JEALOUS. It has nothing to do with their race or sexuality. I guarantee you there there are a bunch of straight white women in the WNBA who are jealous as hell of Clark.
It’s pathetic how people still allow themselves to be manipulated by entities within the media that want to drive these racist and homophobic agendas. A lot of established players in the WNBA are jealous that a rookie is getting so much attention. End of story.
And many black and gay women in the WNBA are going out of their way to express support for Clark. So what’s your point?Black and gay women are the ones vocalizing distaste and jealousy toward CC. Angel Reese, swoops, DT, Carter among others.
I used to hear a word used in the South a long time ago, when someone was disgusted, or wanted no part of someone. The word used was "Common". Therefore, Reeve is pretty Common. Sorry that Cheryl doesn't give 💩💩 about the fans.
Nah, I think that all the conspiracy talk is bullshit. It might not be a "conspiracy," but I think it's fair to say she's been black balled (especially when it comes to the Olympics).
Yeah, I noticed Coach Reeve’s Bird/Magic shirt she had on…oh wait, never mind. The WNBA realizes it has its version of the “Magic and Bird entering the NBA” moment. Even though Reese is nowhere near as good of a player as Clark, they’re going to pump up Reese because they know people get all fired up about the rivalry.
Again, this stuff is really simple to decipher if you take the time to analyze it instead of always jumping to, “IT’S BECAUSE THEY’RE BLACK!!!1!1!!1”
Makes a ton of sense to pick 6 shooting guards and only one true point guard when you’re trying to build a team (and that one PG is injured). There was no thought put into building this team outside of who the selection committee wanted to make/keep happy. They know they’re going to win regardless of who they put on the team, so it’s about making certain players happy, not building the best team.Nah, I think that all the conspiracy talk is bullshit.
I think that it chafes the buttholes of a lot of WNBA players/coaches that Caitlin gets so much attention ( and money) when she's still hasn't truly earned shit yet as a pro.
Magic Johnson stated it pretty well in indicating that both he and Larry (Bird) faced a lot of the same envy when they first hopped into the NBA. Back then, the NBA was a bit of a dumpster-fire in terms of fan-following. There was a lot of great basketball that had been played ... but it took guys like Magic and Larry to excite the masses about the league. Anyhow, Magic has indicated that he had to endure a lot of hazing when he was a rookie.
I don't think that it will take very long for Caitlin to earn her stripes in the WNBA ... and she'll be playing in the Olympics before we know it. It just won't be this summer. I know, that as Hawkeye fans, we have Caitlin's back ... but we have to realize that it really isn't any grave wrong that she was left off the team.
Look at her 3-point percentage ... at Iowa, for 3 of her 4 years, she shot better than 37.5% from 3-point-land. However, in the WNBA, her percentage matches her worst year at Iowa (when she was a SO) ... at 33.2%. That number can definitely get better for her. While here numbers aren't pedestrian ... there are a bunch of WNBA veterans who are more accurate.
Similarly, look at her turnovers ... no rookie has every had more turnovers than Caitlin. That is a testament to her trust in her ability and her willingness to thread the needle. While some of the problem also has to deal with her teammates reeling in the passes ... plenty of it is still attributable to somewhat sloppy play (and poor decisions) by Caitlin.
And, of course, there is Caitlin's defense ... or lack thereof. To her credit, she has tried to compensate for this weakness in the WNBA by trying to get more steals. However, her defensive fundamentals are still below the average of the league.
So yeah ... there is a ton of improvement Caitlin can make. What's great is that isn't lost on her ... even though many fans seem to be blind to it. All the same, she's still been a strong contributor for her team, even as a rookie. Furthermore, she's obviously putting up great numbers in order to even be considered for the ROY award.
Look at the national-team roster ...
USA Basketball Women's Olympic Team - USA Basketball
The United States has medaled every Olympics in which it has participated, dating back to a silver medal in 1976. In total, the USA owns 10 gold medals, one silver and one bronze. The U.S has won eight consecutive gold medals, the first of which came at the 1996 Atlanta Games. The 2028 Olympics...www.usab.com
and then look at some stats ...
Which guard on the squad deserves the honor less than Caitlin? You look at their production ... you're looking at experienced women who are experienced produces ... and, honestly, less sloppy and more well-rounded. Caitlin will get there ... and I imagine that she'll get there quickly. But I don't think that Caitlin has been wronged in any fashion. There is absolutely no sign of impropriety.
The reaction to Caitlin Clark's absence from the roster is more a reflection of fans believing hyperbole rather than acknowledging the facts. Of course, that's alright ... the term "fan" is derived from fanatic after all. Fans and logic rarely mix!
Yikes. I didn't realize US House Republicans expressed their outrage that Caitlin was left off the Olympic team.
Race + Politics = What a mess that Caitlin wants no part of.
There is no evidence that black women's basketball players get less recognition than white players. Take away Taurasi, Stewart, and Caitlin's awards, 72% of the WNBA MVP and college POY awards have gone to black women. I have no idea what Paige is talking about.Another idiot
BINGO. Old and injured and starting no less.Makes a ton of sense to pick 6 shooting guards and only one true point guard when you’re trying to build a team (and that one PG is injured). No, they hate her because she's straight and white in addition to being better. The woke left HATES straight white peopleThey don't hate her because she is white and straight. They hate her because she is better and more popular than they are.
Honestly, the right plays the race card nowadays almost as much as the left did ten years ago.
Thats comical.....
Wdsmhawk is one of those wokiesNo, they hate her because she's straight and white in addition to being better. The woke left HATES straight white people
Wdsmhawk is one of those wokies
But they're not falseI love Caitlin just like 95% of the WNBA does. What I don't like is using her name to push false narratives.
You run into much backlash from "woke" people? No, they hate her because she's straight and white in addition to being better. The woke left HATES straight white people
Regarding CC's offensive stats...name me one player that's so closely guarded from the time she gets the inbounds pass to the end of that offensive possession?Nah, I think that all the conspiracy talk is bullshit.
