If Illinois losses to #7 OSU do they drop out of the top 4?
And if Iowa beats Wisconsin, do they move up?

Doubt it. We have pretty similar resumes and they have the head to head nod should it come down to it.

I think Illinois earned a lot of trust from voters for how they destroyed Michigan, on the road, without their best player.

that said... I also think OSU has lost a ton of credibility (although we moved up nicely after beating them) so an Illini loss could be a head-scratcher.

meanwhile I think most have figured out Wisconsin’s not a top 25 worthy squad, so an Iowa win at Carver will be expected.

Ranking in the poll is pretty meaningless to me until the end of the season. I am much more concerned with seeding in both the BTT and the dance. I want the #3 seed in the BTT and a 2 seed in the dance. In the BTT, I want a rematch with Illannoy in the semi's and UM in the final. We would have to win out to have a chance at a 1-seed in the dance, and even then, I doubt it. Winning against Wisky and at least the first game of the BTT are both huge for seeding. With a 2-seed in the dance, we avoid the teams that might be better than us until the Elite 8.

While not likely, a 1 seed is still in play by running the table. That would take Iowa beating Illinois with Ayo and Michigan. Illinois is the driver seat for the 1 seed and deservedly so. A 3 seed is the floor. The next 9 days of basketball are going to be a lot of fun!
