They are getting really good at the "this isnt terrorism" line:

What would make you think some big city night club shooting is connected to terrorism? I mean, if it was a gay night club, like that massacre in Florida, sure. But don't you guys run around here posting this happens three times every weekend in scary big cities like Chicago?

What's interesting to me is this debate... terrorist or not. Some will say if someone shoots up a school or night club its just a shooter. If someone drive car into parade its terrorist. To me if it causes panic, terror and death to our citizens its terrorism be it shooters, bombers, car drivers plowing into people. I think the gov avoids saying terrorist because they do not want that term associated with events happening on US soil. But, this is all terrorism.

Three men opened fire. That’s terrorism, no?
No it depends on other factors. Read the definition of terrorism. Usually investigators have a pretty good idea of what went down within the first hour of the investigation. So yes could it be terrorism of course but assuming it is is not investigators job.

I think it depends on motive (and the identity of the perpetrators is also a clue).

If someone at a club gets into a fight and comes back and starts blasting, that’s not terrorism. If a shooter who just got divorced and lost his job and is mad about his status in life picks a crowded nightclub to start shooting, that’s not terrorism.
