Here's what's going to happen, or may have already happened,....
The players are going to see this. They already have. They fans are going to see this,..oh wait, they already have also. Despite that, there is going to be a dividing amongst both. They are going to see one of two things. They are going to see that their coach is being attacked by a bunch of crazy fans and therefore learn to not like those fans(which will have negative results in many ways), or they are going to have their own doubts confirmed and they are going to start having feelings as to their involvement in the program which will match the thoughts of those 'crazy' fans, and will cause a rift between them and the program. OR this may simply just go away. Sorry but the last scenario isn't likely to happen.
From there, there is going to be a press release from Iowa, and it's going to make this even more public. Then from there, the two things I mentioned are going to escalate. This is going to be talked about around the nation, and then we are going to see something happen.
Either the University will ignore this, and when if they fail to produce results this season, something BIG will happen afterwards. OR,.....The University will ignore this and they WILL produce and this becomes a curious situation. OR...the University will respond to this, and they will change what is going to happen from what would have happened had this all not been released. Basically a very large, unpredictable ripple in the waters of our beloved football program.
Think I'm being dramatic? Give it a couple of days, and let us see what happens.
