with his apparent lack of empathy i wouldn't want to see trump make big calls in a real crisis/war situation. i feel trump is unpredictable and that negates a lot of his pragmatism. that said he is likely better for bau operations... he'll make some common sensical policy decisions while also conceding (say 40%) shit to special interests. black swan events though are a big worry.

yes for 3 years seemed ok. dems including everyone on this board were sure he was going to win re-election easily. but covid, post 2020 election, and jan 6 weren’t his shining moments as a leader and roe v wade while pleasing to some alienated a lot more.
