Then you've never really paid any attention to politics. The party has always tried to silence those publicly fighting counter to the parties goals. It's how these systems work. It's why I'd prefer if America were not a two party system. Trying to fit people with such disparate goals into either an R or D stance is difficult.

but parties, no matter how large or small will always fight to unify the message. It's how you win elections. Public dissent costs you votes. So yes, I think those voices should be allowed to speak, and debate, but it's almost always going to take place internally. It's like my family. We may fight over things like crazy internally, but don't make it public. Those are private issues, publicly we have each other's backs.

Like how Trump had his supporters storm the capitol in an attempt to prevent the certification of his defeat and replacement with Biden. So what you are describing as a theoretical "coup" in the US, actually hsppened on 1/6 as MAGAts like yourself tried to capture and drive out congressmen in the capitol.

And answer the question - what "coup" immediately and constitutionally goes through with a new and freely competitive election? And then does so again and again? Where's the dictator? We've watched incumbents in Ukraine be defeated multiple times since 2014 and peacefully leave office to be replaced with opposition candidates since then. And you call that a coup! Only proves what a tool of Moscow you are, KremlinMole97!

If your new definition of a "coup" is the people driving out murderous leaders who recorded resignation speeches while attempting authoritarian actions at the order of foreign leaders, and then replacing him by holding new fair, multiparty elections, the world needs more coups!

My understanding is the Russians have a finite amount of missiles and are rapidly running through them and domestic production of them is all but negligible. Not sure this is a path for success for them, although I fully support sending them as much air defense as possible.
