took the post down because I couldn’t link, but that’s what the Post said this morning. Released criminals and conscripts, followed by Wagner Group. Sounds like early spring is going to very tough.

I think I saw that this morning. What are they going to equip these guys with? Are they going to go into battle in tracksuits? They don't have the gear to put 500,000 on the battlefield.
But, if an offensive is coming, I hope one thing the Ukrainians do is keep enough artillery and HIMARs along the border with Belarus to hit inside their territory at the staging areas. Do not wait for them to get to the border.
You and others here follow this much more closely than I do. I just hope we do everything possible to keep them equipped.

Will be interesting and a disaster for them I think. They showed, with 150k of their varsity team, they did not have the logistic support ability to sustain anything much further than 30 miles. Not sure what 500k of their middle school team using equipment from the 40s-70s is going to do…
Sometimes I think Ukraine may be exaggerating the numbers to speed up the West sending the stuff they need. But then I think, the West's intelligence probably has a pretty good handle on how many Russians are massing so that doesn't make any sense unless it may be correct. But I agree, that 500,000 seems almost impossible.
Ukraine should just bomb this recording studio. These guys need to feel the real heat of the war instead of casually discussing murdering the leader of Ukraine (I get the inherent irony of my post).
