This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

The sanctions aren’t hitting where it hurts, they’re still stocking shelves with western goods just under new brand names. The average Russian in the major metros isn’t feeling the economic sanctions impact their ability to consume western goods because our companies do not want to lose market share

"An officer is a great responsibility," Da Vinci said in his last interview. "Without experience, I wouldn't agree to become a combatant."

"I don't know if there will be more such commanders. He was always the first to go into battle and the last to leave the battlefield," says soldier Rudya in farewell to the commander"

"A great warrior who was to become an artist. He fought since 2014. He was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine in 2021, a volunteer. He received his first military rank of junior lieutenant last year. In it, he commanded the 67th OMBr battalion."

"27-year-old Dmytro Kotsyubail was buried today in Kyiv. The President posthumously awarded Da Vinci the "Cross of Combat Merit".

Honor, my friend."

Aardvark Jr. recently attended an aerospace conference, at which one of the presenters was from Raytheon. Her title was "Chief Execution Engineer," and her responsibilities essentially focused on maximizing the lethality of weapons. Jr. was having a drink at a bar with a statistician afterwards, who remarked "I hadn't really considered 'Horseman of the Apocalypse' as a career path."
Leave it to a woman to design the most fatal weapons systems.

They absolutely are. They’re paying $250 for a simple coffeemaker and $10k for a 65” 4K TV. Their PPP was shot to shit.

"Think of the nine-ton, four-person 2S9 as occupying a kind of middle ground between a long-range howitzer and a crew-served direct-fire weapon such as a heavy machine gun. Firing a 30-pound shell out to a distance of around six miles, a 2S9 isn’t as destructive as a howitzer is, but it’s more responsive—heavy firepower the infantry can call up on short notice.

The Russians are fond of their 2S9s. They’ve begun assigning six of the tracked mortars to the new “assault units” they’re forming.

The Ukrainians have 2S9 envy. They began the current war with just 40 or so old 2S9s left over from Soviet stocks. The Russians have destroyed at least two of them. The three dozen or so that are left aren’t enough to meet the army’s demand for front-line fires. Demand that only will grow once the Ukrainians go on the attack."

....Just in case anyone's forgotten this, leading into the 2024 elections:

And, yes, Fox News "edited out" that comment from his word-salad that day.
Politically speaking ..it would have been a three day war if Turd had been President.

Fortunately, the Merican electorate didn't allow it.

Fvck Putin, Fvck Trump, and Fvck Fox.

The parts that he would have let Putin keep, generally what is currently occupied by Russia, are the most resource rich, and prior to the war, most industrially productive areas in the country. I posted an article about this probably in the first 50 pages of this thread but I didn't save it. These occupied areas, if I remember correctly, contributed close to 40% of Ukraine's GDP prior to the invasion.

Cheeto didn't have anything to do with Moldova and Transnistria as that went down in the early 1990s. However, the Russians did much the same there. Transnistria is the industrial region of Moldova and the remainder of the country is farm land.
