I mean, yeah. I love the Ukraine PR machine but they foresaw the invasion long enough ago to make most tanks inoperable? Ukraine has taken or destroyed 3k of them since the war started.

I mean, you know they were invaded in 2014 right? That was almost a full decade ago.I mean, yeah. I love the Ukraine PR machine but they foresaw the invasion long enough ago to make most tanks inoperable? Ukraine has taken or destroyed 3k of them since the war started.
Then Russia should have no operable tanks at the moment. But they do.I mean, you know they were invaded in 2014 right? That was almost a full decade ago.
I’m just saying, they had plenty of time for shenanigans. I have zero doubt there is plenty of chicanery. Then Russia should have no operable tanks at the moment. But they do.
Meh. What if they started a year ago? How many tanks did Russia have in storage that could be quickly made operable? It seems plausible given how corrupt Russia is that a big dent was made.I mean, yeah. I love the Ukraine PR machine but they foresaw the invasion long enough ago to make most tanks inoperable? Believe what you want.Meh. What if they started a year ago? How many tanks did Russia have in storage that could be quickly made operable? It seems plausible given how corrupt Russia is that a big dent was made.
Actually as silly as the tank with the bed springs above it looks it may help them stop grenades dropped from drones.I so want this to be true…
FYI the link to the CNN interview is spam.
Personally I think the tank numbers that get posted have to be inflated to a degree. "Destroyed" tanks that have been recovered and repaired ect.....if the numbers were correct the Russians would be done by now. Then Russia should have no operable tanks at the moment. But they do.
I use a “divide by 3” rule on all Ukrainian reported numbers. Even then the Russian losses are staggering.Personally I think the tank numbers that get posted have to be inflated to a degree. That said they've obviously taken heavy losses.....just not at the reported degree IMO.
Sorry-I only posted for the photo of the lady.FYI the link to the CNN interview is spam.
I believe she is rooting for one of the combatants.
....Thanks, Biden!??? (& Zelenskyy!!!)
Posting this separately as it has only one smoke plume and am hoping it is a different fire
It appears to be in the area of a nuclear reactor.
"A new fire declared in Dzerzhinsky near Moscow. Warehouses near a cogeneration plant are on fire, according to local media." (Damn-just tires.)
WSJ spells out how a vote for Trump is essentially a vote for Russia to win in Ukraine:
Donald Trump’s refusal to commit to aiding Ukraine’s fight against Russia’s invasion portends a stark choice for U.S. voters if the war is still raging in November 2024: The wide-ranging support for Kyiv under President Biden, or indifference to the winner of a conflict that has cost the U.S. and its allies tens of billions of dollars.
The former president, who is also the GOP’s leading contender to challenge Mr. Biden next year, also challenged the broadly unified support in the mainstream of the Republican Party for backing Ukraine, with some GOP lawmakers pushing the Biden administration to provide Kyiv with even more advanced and lethal weaponry.
Mr. Trump’s comments added to concerns in Europe that the war in Ukraine could grow polarized in U.S. domestic politics as the presidential race approaches, splitting voters and members of Congress down partisan lines. Kyiv’s allies said they feared U.S. support for Ukraine could fray.
Mr. Trump told a town hall event hosted by CNN on Wednesday that his priority would be to put a swift end to the war. He declined to say whether he wanted Ukraine to win the conflict, and called on Europe to put up more of the money keeping Kyiv in the fight. With tens of thousands of Russian troops occupying large swaths of southern and eastern Ukraine and the Crimean Peninsula, an imminent cease-fire would essentially hand a partial victory to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Russians and Ukrainians, I want them to stop dying,” he said. “And I’ll have that done in 24 hours.”
