This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

If they can't fly them I hope they destroy them.

"A Wagner convoy heads towards the airbase on the south side of the town of Buturlinovka which houses a number of combat aircraft as well as attack helicopters "

It certainly is a far cry from the first 100 pages of this thread with all sorts of Russians trolling Ukrainians laughing at their deaths and calling them kokals or whatever the slur is.

Twitter is breaking news. I came home after work and not one freaking network was covering it. Nothing. Twitter is filled with real time video captures and people know how to geolocate the footage to confirm locations. Twitter is where I get my news. Best source out there, hands down.
While I mostly agree with you, I kept tabs on the 24 hour cable news channels and CNN go all in on it for a solid hour at least.

I am trying to determine what is the best outcome. If prigozhin prevails, will he end the war in Ukraine or conduct it more effectively?
I just can’t see a seemless transition here….I have to think if this is successful Prigozhin will be more concerned with consolidating power than carrying on this war….which led to this situation.

Wow. This is one hell of a distraction from Hunter that the Biden Administration has come up with.
Turn on Faux News. It’s an epic Biggrey fap fest.
The other networks are slowly turning to live content and studio generals talking. I think most networks scaled back their reporters in the war zone, but are deploying them and hitting up independent stringers this morning.

I finally took the step of putting almost all of them all on ignore. And by them I mean probably 2 guys with 15 different handles

He talks about not interfering with the war in his video. He may want to conduct it more efficiently and ensure supplies are given to all troops, hence talking clearly about refuseniks. He could be bad for Ukraine if he gets his way as he may not believe in the sunk cost fallacy and wouldn’t want his troops to have lost their lives for nothing if the war is ended and Ukraine gets their land back.

Agree. I have a hard time believing he survives this all the way but also believe it is really the beginning of the end for z Putin. And who ever is next has to know withdrawal from Ukraine is a must to stabilize country and hold onto power.

The amazing success so far, and foreshadowed by those excursions in Belogrod last month by the other group, really show how undefended Russia is. All the chips are in Ukraine.

I see that as buttering his toast both ways right now. These videos are meant for Russian public who may be turned off if there is talk of losing a war. He is trying to cause them to think he can be the one to save day. Pretty sure he know there is no way to win war.

Yep. Some ww1 lessons here.

The Czar doesn’t get tossed without the war in 1917.

The “first provisional government “ later got tossed by the Bolsheviks in main part because they continued the war.

First thing the Bolsheviks did was make peace with Germany….

They are moving very very quickly. To me it suggests they have been planning and coordinating this for month and have a large chunk of the military on their side, in addition to Russia defense being completely depleted.

God has a great sense of humor so maybe Putin and regime fall in 3 days and these guys are greeted as heroes with parades. Putin may be right on all of it. Except the city.

In one post I saw that those belograd incursion forces are “now” under prigozhin’s command. Makes me wonder if that was his own false flag operation to probe and see how far Wagner could go into Russia attacking Putin.

I think Putin cuts a deal with Prigozhin and sacks Shoigu and Gerasimov.

I don’t like the idea of Wagner taking control of the military response against Ukraine.
Prigozhin is nowhere near as clever as he thinks he is. He’s made his career bullying poor third world countries. UKR with NATO help would destroy his guys.

I don’t think you get to be a Russian oligarch and talk shit about Putin and the war for months without falling down a flight of stairs unless you are one wily son of a bitch. With that being said, NATO would eradicate his forces pronto. But, to his credit, he has acknowledged that and how Ukraine itself now has one of the best armies in the world.

It certainly can be, but you do have to be careful to verify information. It is also a very fast way to spread misinformation. But at least with breaking news, various organizations haven't had time to plan a systematic misinformation campaign with a focused message.
