This might explain the less than robust response by Putin. He might be trying to figure out who is still on his side, and might be afraid of how tenuous his position is.
Someday we might find out if Prigozhin lost his nerve, or was bought off.
NATO has already said nuclear fallout on member states would trigger article 5, and any use of nuclear weapons would trigger a military response.
Hopefully this is the case…

Right. But it would be the right thing to do. I do not believe that the military infrastructure in Russia would go all out.

60 Minutes has done great work covering the war. Tonight they had a segment on 1300 kids with cancer evacuated from Ukraine to continue their treatments. Not sure if it was a repeat, or not.
It was gut wrenching, and got me misty eyed. I recognize that the Ukrainians are excellent at messaging, and this is what they want out for consumption. Olena Zelenska was featured in the story as she worked with the First Ladies of several key allies to organize the evacuation and treatment of the kids, and their mothers.

Lib TV ran some live coverage tonight, and good analysis from General Barry McCaffrey. Prigozhin must be killed. None of what he said or did can be undone. Somehow Putin needs to replace his top military leaders, but with who, and how? And, he echoed his repeated comments to give Ukraine more powerful weapons by saying the offensive will never bring Russia to the peace table because Ukraine simply does not have enough firepower to force Russia out of all Ukrainian territory. Until the threat of defeat on the battlefield is credible, Russia will not be a serious negotiator. By name he mentioned ATACMS. I am sure the Ukrainians would appreciate a lot of things, but those would really provide a deep punch capability.
I don’t think tanks will overtake the artillery numbers again…
