This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

“I couldn’t imagine something like this,” said a Ukrainian private named Serhiy, part of a unit that rescued the soldiers wounded by the explosions. “I thought mines would be lain in lines. But whole fields are filled with them, everywhere.”

An “emergency incident” has been reported on the Crimean Bridge, halting traffic on the only link between the annexed peninsula and Russia, a Moscow-backed official said Monday.

Sergey Aksenov, the Russia-appointed head of Crimea, did not specify the nature of the incident.

Last October, a huge blast partially damaged the bridge, causing parts of it to collapse.

“Law enforcement agencies and relevant services are at work. I spoke to the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev, and measures are being taken to ameliorate the situation,” Aksenov said.

Igor Mikhailichenko, deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, has gone to the scene, he added.

Aksenov urged residents and those traveling to and from Crimea to choose an alternative land route.

This is why the assets of any rich Russian anywhere in the world should be forfeit, sold and used to support Ukraine in the war, and in the rebuild.

Yachts, penthouses, etc.

Screw 'em.
Why do you think they park their money in the West? We have strong property rights. The Feds, and more importantly Putin, can’t get at the money once you buy a condo in London, Miami or NYC.

BBC talks a bit…

Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the western Russian region of Belgorod, later said in his own Telegram statement that two people, the parents of a young girl, had died in the incident - which he, too, simply labelled an "emergency".
Russia's transport ministry has said the explosion did not damage the bridge's supports and that only the road surface had been affected.
BBC Russian reports that the ferry crossing that runs parallel to the bridge has been closed, while Russia state media agency TASS cites the local rail operator as saying train traffic may be affected.

I was disappointed to see a train moving in the background:)

Russia has officially ended the grain export agreement. I don't know what they might put into effect in order to actually restrict shipments, or if this is simply a negotiating ploy. Time for the Turks to put their words into action if Russia moves to restrict shipments. Time for the West to rethink their options, too. Either focusing more efforts on exporting via ports that border Romania, or creating a safe corridor out using air and sea power with NATO members with access to the Black Sea.

They wouldn't know what hit the bridge this soon IMO if it was an underwater attack..
There is definitely confusion on how it was done-a US general thought it was truck bombs, some of the Russians claimed the regular surface naval drones, this claims it was a drone submarine and there is video that sounds like missiles coming in. The Russians are blaming the UK and US for helping (which I hope they did) so planting something like this makes sense. But someone said they saw the same info claiming a drone sub from a French source so who knows!
