Excuse my ignorance… but shouldn’t hitting these have been a priority from the start of the war?
I wonder if they were afraid of pushing Russia too far. As the war goes on maybe they are feeling more comfortable that this will stay a conventional war. Despite Putin's 11th and counting threat to use nuclear weapons since the war began! (Just a guess.)Excuse my ignorance… but shouldn’t hitting these have been a priority from the start of the war?
I think some of it also is due to depletion of Russia’s army. They have thrown everything in Ukraine and left the front door open.I wonder if they were afraid of pushing Russia too far. The near coup by the mercenary group. Showed how venerable they are. Would be nice if these attacks triggered another one.I think some of it also is due to depletion of Russia’s army. They have thrown everything in Ukraine and left the front door open.
Was thinking the same. Could be the start of Putin dying by Russian hands. The near coup by the mercenary group. Showed how venerable they are. Would be nice if these attacks triggered another one.
That's not remotely hopeful.
JFC, it has taken months of inaction for those idiots to think of the loan idea?
Think the action is more of a reaction to Ken Buck resigning.JFC, it has taken months of inaction for those idiots to think of the loan idea?
Whoa, that's how Red Storm Rising started...
Some of those videos of the poor bastards running in circles trying to avoid the drones are hilarious and sad. Brutal way to go.Interesting story about how the US is beginning to train front line troops to destroy small drones. Honestly, I'd love to take some shots at one on a range.
Also, I saw another story that ANG soldiers were doing some training at Vance AFB, so, I googled Vance AFB (Apparently Oklahoma leads the way in desolate military bases), and there were some interesting reviews. Such as don't go there, it's a small base and everyone knows your business. Well, sir, don't have so much business to talk about! And, this review from a concerned citizen. "Their pilots come 250 miles to do touch and go landings at Springfield, MO, airport. Those crazy Jay Hawks they use really hurt my ears due to the runway pointing at our home. Hurts my ears badly. Wish they would crash".

More evidence. Nazi propagandists got more frothy too prior to Berlin falling and Hitler eating a bullet.
The intel and r&d coming out of this is priceless. The GOP should providing funding if for no other reason.Interesting story about how the US is beginning to train front line troops to destroy small drones. Honestly, I'd love to take some shots at one on a range.

"But then, on Feb. 18, Czech defense policy chief Jan Jires shocked his audience when he announced – at a Munich security conference – that his government had identified 800,000 artillery shells “sitting in non-Western countries.” Those countries apparently include South Korea, Turkey and South Africa.
The shells could be had for $1.5 billion, Czech officials said.
With months’ worth of shells on the way, Ukrainian brigades no longer had to conserve what little ammo they’d been saving for emergencies. In early March, Ukraine’s batteries opened fire.
Five miles west of Avdiivka, Ukrainian troops halted their retreat, turned and counterattacked. Finally enjoying something approaching adequate artillery support, they stopped the Russian offensive dead in its tracks in villages with names like Berdychi, Orlivka and Tonen’ke.
Artillery – a shortage of it – is the main reason the Ukrainians nearly lost a whole eastern oblast to the Russians this winter and spring. And artillery – a million shells brokered by a tiny Eastern European country – is the main reason the Ukrainians didn’t lose that whole oblast.
If artillery is the king of battle, the current kingmaker is … the Czech Republic."
