If there are enough countries that sign up for the "willing" that should still be plenty to stop Russia. And it should help greatly that many of these countries are used to working with each other due to NATO.
I’m sure the European NATO countries could stop the Russians from invading European members.
I was just disputing OPs notion that the European NATO members could cobble together and deploy across the Atlantic a credible defense to thwart the U.S. if it was intent on militarily taking Greenland.
They couldn’t.

I’m pretty sure the U.S. could take on Russia + the rest of NATO in terms of conventional military capabilities.

FWIW-When we first read about this Ukraine said they had discovered the ruse and killed 80 or so Russian special forces. Now Russia claims it was a major victory.
