This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Nice to see a Global Hawk loitering over the Black Sea at about 53,000 feet. Call sign FORTE12 if you'd like to search on Flightradar24. Been doing this for many many hours.

Also, just scads of Globemasters, C-130s, Tankers, etc. British and Canadian heavy transports as well. Almost all going into Rzeszow, Poland.
I spent my 4 AF years with the C- 130s,E and H models, loved those birds.

They have the FFL but probably overall lack the experience of the British, who have been at war alongside us for the past 20+ years. Why would they be more deadly? Just curious.

Other than that, I know nothing about the French military, but I assume they’ve been paying attention and learning.
They have had upwards of 5000 soldiers fighting Boko Haram in the sub Saharan, and troops in the Horn of Africa. They also deployed to Afghanistan. A lot of that was FFL, but not all. They have been doing a lot of the hard work around the globe the last 20 years.

Maybe the older generations are, including those of us in our 40’s but the younger Russians aren’t quite so backwards but have been some of the most enthusiastic adopters of modern technology and customs. I think that needs to be accounted for. There’s a wide gulf between Russia’s youth and the GenX and earlier groups.
As mentioned earlier in the thread, the youth and the educated are in the cities. In the rural areas it’s still the USSR, with very heavy control of the traditional media and social media. They are brainwashed the older and more rural they are in Russia.

I see smokes and fast food burgers. Let them have their slow deaths, but there are some companies that need to be shamed. Some of them are large companies with huge investments, and it may seem easy for me to say this, but not many companies did business with Hitler. Time for companies like Bayer, Nestle, BASF to answer some bad publicity queries. If my portfolio takes a hit, fine. There will be money to be made in the rebuild and in a post Putin Russia.

In about 25 to 30 years, when millennials and Gen Z are fully in charge, "world wars" are going to consist of attacking each other with memes. It's going to be great and I, for one, will be fully prepared.

When Biden announced his initial sanctions package and was pressed a bit on the need for something more immediately useful, he responded something to the effect of “talk to me in a month” and we’ll see how effective they are. At the time I thought this alarming, in that once Putin takes possession he’ll be awfully tough to evict, that ukr doesn’t have 30 days, and that Putin and Biden do not reckon either time or pain the same way.

sadly, I fear this is becoming truer by the day.

I just talked to my Ukranian friend for 20 minutes on WhatsApp.

He said he can't believe Russia attacked. It's like a bad dream. His Father died from cancer in January, too.

He said 95% of the Ukranian people support their President. He said his wife and child are going to stay with a family friend in Amsterdam.

He said he hopes this will be over in a "few weeks" and his family will return. Me too. He said he wants to do humanitarian work but may have to fight the Russians.

He also said thanks so much for the $$$. He has $0 income at the moment.

He said to tell HROT "thank you."

Yes, but Biden also said "this may not last that long" (30 days), which I took in a good way. He obviously knew more than we did at the time.

Time will tell.

What's the tally so far?

It's 100% both
Maybe if you eliminated the other 10%(actually about 30%) people would be praising you in this thread like you desire instead of politely asking you to STFU about your partisan bullshit and petty scores you need to settle.

You're right Joe. You're always right, about everything. So if anyone has disagreed with you we know they are wrong and you are right. So that settles it.

NOW can you stop with the partisan bullshit?
Posts like this are taking up more space than all of Joe’s. You want him to let it go, but you don’t seem to be able to.
