This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Lighten up francis.

Nah, GFY you racist, sexist trash. Seriously, why would you post that she looks like a man, in this thread of all, when it's an American citizen detained by Russians for clearly political reasons? It just shows that you're a seriously horrible person and we would all be better off if you were removed from the gene pool so you can't spread your poison to others. So yeah, go to hell.

It really seems like Russia is coming apart at the seams. I know we are all supposed to pretend to be civilized, but the best thing for the world is for Putin to get a bullet in the head before the sun sets in Moscow tomorrow.

In the last 24 hours, I've seriously been wondering how we'll deal with a new Russia. It is a backwards society. It won't be easy.

I'm hoping they can move on peacefully.

Dan Carlin put out a little podcast on the situation.

Putin has his own agenda on what victory really is. More power more money more consolidation ect…

Or Putin terribly over estimated his military and ability to keep his people in the dark.

Or Putin is losing it mentally.

Link my posts ‘backing my team’ or stfu.

I just want Ukraine news, you can start all kinds of threads to prove how smart you are, how team red bad, team blue good. It’s not needed or wanted in this thread and DOZENS of people have told you so.

But it’s all about Joe. It’s you’re thread.

Hey guys! Did you know Joe said in the 18th post that the Russian supply lines were the weak link?? He’s the smartest guy in the thread!!
So, what is your point? Chill, please.

I wouldn’t feel guilty. Unfortunately, war has been a constant part of the human condition. Don’t feel guilty - but do feel grateful you live in America where war has not touched our soil for generations.

Guilty probably wasn’t the best word to use. Just felt really bad the Ukrainians. I certainly was looking around at all the different people and thinking we are all very fortunate to live here in America.

Maybe the older generations are, including those of us in our 40’s but the younger Russians aren’t quite so backwards but have been some of the most enthusiastic adopters of modern technology and customs. I think that needs to be accounted for. There’s a wide gulf between Russia’s youth and the GenX and earlier groups.

If the FSB letter is correct, they needed to kill Zelensky in the first 48 hours, and they’ve been so driven by checking boxes and yes men that they were taken by surprise when Ukraine fought back and the world sanctioned them.

Now Russia is in chaos. Chechnya and Dagestan are on the verge of revolt. They’re giving draconian sentences for telling the truth about the war. The sanctions are going to destroy the economy.

If Putin is to maintain power he’s going to need to do something extreme.

I can't believe I'm typing this....but God Bless the French....radar shows yet again spy plane on border.

Vive la france
I’m telling ya, France has low key become a major military power. Probably a notch more deadly than even the UK.

It has the largest armed forces in size in the European Union. According to Credit Suisse, the French Armed Forces are ranked as the world's sixth-most powerful military.

Any truth to what? What did patreaus say? Sorry, but like I said, I skipped about 20 pages to avoid the crap.
I turned on CNN for the first time in years and heard him praising the tactics, abilities, resolve, etc… of Ukrainians. He basically suggested that the Russians would not be able to come close to holding their gains, nor subdue the country. They are a paper Tiger.

Need the youth to stand up (I know they already are). Still a backwards society.

They have the FFL but probably overall lack the experience of the British, who have been at war alongside us for the past 20+ years. Why would they be more deadly? Just curious.

Other than that, I know nothing about the French military, but I assume they’ve been paying attention and learning.

Yup, even during the Soviet superpower days, they were a backwards society and I assume their built in distrust and envy of the west stems a bit from that. Hell, they’ve known it for hundreds of years.

I’ve read that the sophistication of their weapons systems - particularly Air Force - are the most comparable to the US of any other country. Very high tech.

Is that hip? I’ve used that phrase for decades! 🙂

Haha. I think you actually used in the literal or correct way. Teenagers use lowkey these days to mean something like not gonna lie, or for reals. Not real sure but I hear my teenager and his friends use it all the time. Guess you aren’t really all that hip. Sorry bro.

Cool before my time.

Putin clearly wants us. It’s obvious.
So here is the true problem and issue we now face. All signs point to Putin being literally crazy and surrounded by a yes men.

He’s not at point where he is going to nuke world. He is going to nuke Ukraine in response to false flag dirty bomb or even small Nuke incident he will blame Ukraine on to unite country with. And then declare victory and slink back home.
So do we stand by and watch? What do we do?

After watching the results of this Ukraine war, I can’t imagine countries like Poland would have a lot of fear of Russia, other than a nuclear threat, which there would be some threat of no matter what a country like Poland does.
Yep. I’m more interested in other regions inside Russia seeing this as a time to breakaway. There is no way Putin could keep up the war in Ukraine and also fight a civil war against separatists.

Well the FSB letter said they can’t even pull units out of Syria without the risk of the country toppling and losing their key Mediterranean base.

Now is definitely the time to secede.
