Whoa...from my buddy who flipped me the private intel report early last week:

BTW as I said last week about the KGB (FSB) or Defence minister will assassinate Putin—today he just placed them both under house arrest—on a call with teams in Russia now. The Sanctions are pissing off the middle class.

Scary thing is, the replacements for the eight fired generals are likely to be even more ruthless in regard to war crimes to get Putin some positive battlefield news, and save their own skin. Really need to rely on the foot soldiers to be the ones to desert/disobey orders (along with continued excellent results from the Ukrainians armed with javelins and Ukrainian farmers)
I don’t know. Replacements might tend to be younger and less hard core. More western oriented. Who knows.

Things must not be too bad as all I mostly hear is the right wingers unhappy with Kamala Harris on the way she speaks. It's a breath of fresh air listening to a leader that doesn't read sounding like a third grader.
not to take us too far down a rabbit hole, but are you referring to the president?

The sanctions are going to massively impact starting in a few days. I was reading a story that said Russian imports 40-45 percent of their goods, including a lot of food and the high end consumer items. There is a 2-3 week supply on hand normally. We are rapidly approaching empty shelves time in Russia. There was a blurb on TV yesterday about a Soviet era bluejeans factory being taken out of mothballs. Do the Russians really want Soviet era clothing again?
An air analyst was talking about how they might cannibalize commercial jets to keep some flying even though the leasing companies want them back. The guy then said, but who is going to be flying where in Russia? What does it matter?
Finally, I just watched a clip of some former state department guy on Lib TV, and he repeated an old Russian joke, "What's the difference between a ruble and a dollar? A dollar".
They are in for a massive economic shock, and when that hits is when I expect the streets to fill up across Russia.

Not if the other 90% of the equipment is as woefully outdated they won't. That's the real problem and one they can't fix both quickly or cheaply.
Yeah, they didn't commit junk at the outset as some folks suggested.
Units with the newest gear were committed to Kharkov at the beginning, and they still haven't taken it.

Kurt Schlichter is a turd. Nice that a retired COL can spend 30 years in the Army (across 2 wars), not see any combat yet have all kinds of thoughts on sacrifices and combat. He needs to go away

LMAO, well I have served 3 combat zones, Schlichter is absolutely right.
