Why is Putin having so much trouble taking over Ukraine? For a leader who is so "savvy, impressive, brilliant, smart, and a genius", it's almost inconceivable!
CNN is bad, biased news, not 100 percent fake. This can be said about almost every American news outlet.
Their Ukraine coverage from about 4pm EST to whenever Don Lemon comes on is pretty good. Lots of boots on the ground and good stories. They have Fareed, reputable generals, and US and UN officials.

What is happening in Ukraine is so brutal, but I believe that the quickest way this war ends is more and more hardship in Russia. Another week or so of people scrapping like rats for consumer goods will become harder and harder to manage. I suppose Putin's goon squads have access to different stores like in the days of the USSR, but the people are getting really, really edgy.
NATO countries are now having to absorb millions of Ukranian refugees. That's destabilizing.
I'm feeling more hawkish.
I'd ask Zelensky if Ukraine wants to join NATO. Then, I'd tell Putin he has 48 hours to remove all Russian troops.
Then, I'd flood Ukraine with NATO troops and squash Russia in a week.
Then, I'd help Ukraine rebuild and continue to pummel the Russian economy until Putin is overthrown.
I think Putin would turn tail and run after NATO entered. He wouldn't use nukes. He's a pussy.
