Had that infrastructure been worked on since the 1990s, you'd be running 100% on clean energy here.

Problem is that the Saudis, Exxon, Russia etc hold tens of trillions in "stranded assets" when that happens. They will easily spend hundreds of billions to maintain a 100:1 to 1000:1 ROI in protecting those assets.

AND, you can get much of the Western world to place heavy tariffs on good NOT produced with green energy, which makes your own manufacturing base more viable in the long run.

The present cost of wind AND solar is WAY cheaper than coal and other fossil fuel sources. Capitalize on that.
