Iowa isn't going to see a team again in the B1G as well rounded as Wisconsin. Our D had a few leaks that maybe a better Offense would have capitalized on but this was classic bend but don't break Iowa D.

Iowa's O faced the toughest D they have faced all year and really struggled to make plays when they needed to. The D won this game for Iowa. If this O continues to grow and can make plays to put games like this away watch out. Hopefully Beathard takes this game for a learning experience. Have to think the wind had a huge affect on his play today.

This team has some holes but the players and coaches won this game with grit. I think only Nebraska has the O to make the Iowa D pay but they also make to many mistakes on that side of the ball. Northwestern has the D to again stifle the Iowa O. They also have a proven RB and a QB who can make some plays. Great win by Iowa today.

I will add many posters stated prior to the game take a RB like Gordon off Wisconsin and thats the difference on who wins this game. That looked to be true today, but that is all the reason more why teams like Iowa and Wisconsin need to find guys like Gordon in recruiting.

This is why Northwestern worries me. Their D is every bit as good as Wisconsins this year but right now Northwestern has a better RB. That Northwestern Iowa game will be huge.

IMO if we have T Smith we are light years better. Without him we have no deep threat and that hurts the rest of the offense. When I heard that he was out I was hoping for the best but didn't think we could win this one without him. When he's back barring other major injuries I feel pretty good about our chances with Northwestern.

True. Jerminic is a legit deep threat. Very close to connecting with CJ a couple of times. As he gets more seasoned, he'll be stretching the field with regularity.

Yes, I suspect incompletions were due to lack of reps between him and Beathard. Hopefully that gets corrected.
