He would have said things and calmed the Team. His half court offense and dribbling would have slowed it down and relaxed the guys.

But it makes it likely he’ll start next year instead of come off the bench as many have been proposing.

Purdue survived at Northwestern last Saturday night and could not score at all......they could not miss tonight....whatever they threw up there went in.......just one of those nights.

Was thinking the same thing. His lackluster defense has contributed to a lot of these, including the Chris Street tribute game a couple years ago when Purdue ran Iowa off their own court.
Tonight "effort on D" reminded me of the Iowa of old aka Bohannon included.

Purdue could have beaten any team in the conference the way they played last night and probably any team in the country. Iowa's lackluster effort played a role initially, but there was no letting up by Purdue, which is pretty tough to do when you get up that much early. When CJ has a bad game it exposes how severely limited Joe T, Connor and Evelyn are offensively. At this point I think Ash deserves a few minutes per half when that severely offensively challenged lineup is on the floor. Let him stand in the corner and chuck a couple 3's vs. Evelyn, Joe T, Pemsl, etc.

I'm the PA announcer. Every now and then there are games like this.

Purdue has beaten Michigan State by 30 and Wisconsin by 20 this year. Teams get hot and blowouts happen. Flush this game and onward to Nebraska.
