Anyone know of coverage of this event? I thought it was on track, but there are no brackets yet.
Thanks. The schedule on Track says it starts at 9am. I assumed that was wrestling, but must be weigh ins. They don't weigh in until 11:00am - wrestling starts at 1:00pm.
When will the finals be? Tomorrow? They both won their semis and we will see them in the final!
NowWhen will the finals be? Tomorrow?
(That is, are they going to go right into the finals tonight?)
Yup. Coming up on Mat 5. Tuned in just in time! They are up next after the 120 final which is in the first period
Typical Teske, and I think the reason why so many Iowa fans like him. Kid has a motor. This is not the first big match he’s won by being relentless and making a comeback.Wow....Teske got stronger and faster as the match went on. Scores a TD by whipping around out of a single leg by Thomsen. Muscled his way into a win with 10 seconds to go. Teske wins 11-9.
Very evenly matched, Looked like Teske won it with conditioning.
Is that not TnT's fault for not calling back?I was able to speak to Alex and his family at the world trials in Lincoln this past March. Great family that loves their wrestling. After a few hours of conversation I asked mom, what happened with Iowa, if you don't mind me asking.
Both her and Alex perked up saying they loved Iowa and wanted to go there, but once Iowa got Teasdales verbal they never called Alex back. Then when Teasdale backed out and Iowa tried to get back in but Nebraska had already sealed the deal. Too little too late. He had told Nebraska he was committed and he wasn't gonna change.
I got the feeling that their was no hard feeling just the nature of the business and the Teasdale de-commitment really hurt Iowa.
I've seen the FD kids train in the off-season and they definitely put in the work to try to be the most conditioned guys on the mat. The results over the last few years certainly have shown that.Wow....Teske got stronger and faster as the match went on. Scores a TD by whipping around out of a single leg by Thomsen. Anyway you slice it, that's a hell of a win, and a comeback win to boot. Kudo's to both, and especially to Teske, who didn't mail it in when the chips were down. Well done.Wow....Teske got stronger and faster as the match went on. Scores a TD by whipping around out of a single leg by Thomsen. Muscled his way into a win with 10 seconds to go. Teske wins 11-9.

I'm happy for Teske and hope he completes his run as an unbeaten 4 timer.........and then I hope he goes over to Happy Valley and never beats the Hawks.
Deal?....Deal.
No, he had to come back down 3 in the 3rd in the semis also.Typical Teske, and I think the reason why so many Iowa fans like him. Kid has a motor. This is not the first big match he’s won by being relentless and making a comeback.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say anyone in these 50 United States has a tough road with Iowa.Wish I had seen the match. Sounds like a good one...if they wrestled ten times they probably split. Not the first time Teske has come back I think Teske has a tough road with Iowa if today was any indication.
No he didn't. He was going over with 3 seconds and on his back with 2.And Moomey got royally screwed.

Um no, roll started at 3 he is pinned with college rules at 2. Easy 2 count. Not true. Roll sysrts with 2 seconds left. One stroke with him in criteria and one stroke with Moomey on his elbow(not criteria) with time out.

And us UNI Panthers keep raking in the FD kids for our future!I've seen the FD kids train in the off-season and they definitely put in the work to try to be the most conditioned guys on the mat. The results over the last few years certainly have shown that.
