Interesting PTL matchups tonight.
At 6pm, it's team 1v6
That's Cook and Uhl vs Wagner and Williams
I see lots of physical play in this one. Will Cook try to take Wagner outside the lane?

Other game at 6pm: 3v4
Bohannon/Kriener vs Garza/Dailey/Lohaus
2 center rivals for PT going head to head may be revealing.
Prediction: if Lohaus can't compete with Bohannon in this game, it doesn't look good for UNI in December.
Dailey could be a differencemaker in this game.

7:30 game is team 2v5
Baer/Moss/AJ Green vs Nunge/Ellingson
Nunge matching up vs Baer could be a problem for the young frosh.. or not?
Has Ellingson's D improved? We'll see as he matches up vs Moss.

Any other predictions or things to watch for in these games?

If Cook trys to take Wagner outside I'd be shocked. He should be able to eat him up inside. It will be telling to see how Uhl plays.

Garza vs Kriener should be interesting and give us a peek at the future.

Nunge vs. Baer may give us some insight on how Nunge defends on the perimeter. If he can easily score inside against Baer and rebound maybe he battles for minutes at the 4, but I think it's better for us if he plays well at the three.

Disclaimer....... It's only the PTL. I just cut the thread down by 5 posts.

Thanks mazda1, perhaps the PTL Cops will be placated by the admission. Although if we get good reports, (Please anyone going, please report), we'll probably get a few of those warnings.

Wow! What great matchups!

Starting center battle in June? And great test to see if Nunge can play the three (If he doesn't just assume the post..hope not, head to head guys!!! Baer vs. Nunge, all game!).

Kriener/Bohannon team wins by 14. Bohannon had great game as a floor general. Kriener was superb. His passing was incredible. Garda was solid. But the defense was much tougher then presented last week by Nunge.

Who got the better of the individual matchup between Kriener and Garza?

Cook, Uhl, and Williams were no shows. Injuries... little stuff like aches and pains. Nothing serious.

Any more stats that stand out?

Bohannon had a relatively quiet game, 14pts 3 assists. Wagner had 24 points against the Cook/Uhl less team. McCloud for UNI posted 42pts and 10 assists.

These stats are courtesy of Blair Sanderson. Haven't seen any stats from the late game.

Bohannon and Kriener both had more then 3 or 4 assists. I would guess double. If you add up their stat lines they don't make sense. Have to remember They are just pulling fans out of the crowd to do the stats.

No thanks. Wouldn't do any better. Just saying assists easily get overlooked. Kriener had 3, 2 point baskets for 6 points, 3, 3 point baskets for 9 points and 5 free throws for 5. That makes 20. Jordan might have only had 14 points but he affected the game in so many ways included numerous assists. I thought he played excellent. Kriener guarded McDonnel most of the game and Friedman guarded Garza. Bohannon guarded both Daily and Lohaus and did very well.

Great performances by Kriener and Garza. We won't lack production from the 5 spot this year.

How did Nunge, Ellingson, Baer, and Moss do in the late game?

Moss is so smooth. I'm most excited to see him this year. I think when people think he was inconsistent or disappeared, it was because he felt like he needed to defer to Jok. I think now that he has the green light we will see a star born.

After seeing Moss's highlights, I'm drooling even more for the 2017/18 season.
A lot of great dunks and threes. Many of which may be PTL only plays. But that mid-range baseline fadeaway off of an assist at :23 was a thing of beauty. Unstoppable in the Big Ten.

We don't have guards on team with his skills and athleticism. Moss might have breakout year. Also hope he improves on defense.
