Think he'll make the cut? If he has a bad first day, will he withdraw due to injury?

So the media attention he gets that makes people adore him is OK, and everything related to his past is unwarranted? Seems a little odd to me.I don't care about his past or the unwarranted media attention he always gets........golf is just better when he is playing in the field. I can't wait to follow how he does this week.
l would like to think he surprises and does better than expected this week and then the Master's talk and expectation will be through the roof leading into April.

Fair enough.Don't overthink it or put words in my mouth.....I am just saying he has a ton of baggage (and bad baggage at that) and he gets ton of media attention now when in reality he really shouldn't (he hasn't won a tournament since 2019).
My point is aside from ALL OF THAT, I just like it when he is in the field playing....that's all, nothing more or nothing less.
Not condoning or telling people to forget or forgive him.....I just like watching him play golf and chase history.
Agreed. I would not be watching the Genesis on a Thursday if Tiger wasn't playing, and I'm a pretty big golf fan. He moves the needle unlike anyone in sports history (to date).Don't overthink it or put words in my mouth.....I am just saying he has a ton of baggage (and bad baggage at that) and he gets ton of media attention now when in reality he really shouldn't (he hasn't won a tournament since 2019).

I'm old, and old school when it comes to golf. I liked Tiger when he first came out on tour, but I got tired of the lack of decorum on the golf course, like running around the green fist pumping, dropping F bombs when there is a gallery, throwing his caddies under the bus, and so on. I'm also not fond of him getting special treatment for drunk driving in Florida, and medicated driving in California. So, I'm not a fan.
I was never a big Tiger fan, but his Masters win in 2019 made me emotional.I don't care about his past or the unwarranted media attention he always gets........golf is just better when he is playing in the field. I can't wait to follow how he does this week.

As far as I know, you aren't a gator fan, so you've got that going for you, which is nice. And I can fully understand that point of view too, 100% and I wouldn't say you are wrong either.
So maybe for me, right or wrong, I am able to compartmentalize between the two Tiger's if you will.....and I would be lying if I said the fact that I grew up with Tiger dominating the sport doesn't give me some revisionist history and unconsciously yearn for the days he was lighting it up and chasing history.
I appreciate the civil discussion!

Tiger is Even after 13. 4 birdies 4 bogies, 5 pars. Roller coaster.

100% not true. He did get on the riverboat and some people took his picture and the next day it blew up in the news that he was gambling underage.Favorite story is when he was a minor and tried to get on river boat to gamble while playing the John Deere.
Supposedly the security guard checked his ID and said you are not old enough. Woods replied “ but I am The Tiger”. Security guard said “ I don’t care if you are the Lion King you are not getting on “.
It’s probably not true but I enjoyed that story about 20 years ago.
He's finished, washed up.
