TikTok Flooded With Positive Kamala Harris Content

Seems practical to me. It's a dodgy app that should be banned, but until it is she's reaching out to the tiktok generation with it.
Practical? Yes.
Campaign Smart? Yes.
Smart Voter Smart? No.
Cyber Security Smart? Hell No.

I'm glad my daughter, a Cyber Intel Analyst, refuses to put that on her phone. She's compromised herself a titch with just adding IG (per her).

You think it's on her phone? Really? You're smarter than that.

Don’t you have to load the app to your phone?

Honestly don’t know since I don’t have or want it.
What he means is her personal phone. Probably a campaign phone, burner-type. Can't imagine anyone with a "business" phone having TikTok either. I couldn't load it on my AT&T COU if I wanted to. So, I assume some campaign intern has it set up for her on some random device and manages it. Better not be anything else important on whatever device they're using for it. Dude in video is just pointing out the hypocrisy of it.

I don’t get stuff like this. There is absolutely nothing on my iPad that is in the slightest bit compromising. I don’t keep credit card info on here. What info is the Chinese going to get?

Beard or no beard...he's quite right.
It is a little deceptive. This wasn't an executive order or pushed by the administration. It went through house and the senate with broad bipartisan support. He makes it sound like the Biden administration signed an executive order.

More than 85,000 videos about Harris have been posted to the social media app since Biden said on July 21 that he would step aside and endorse Harris as the Democratic nominee, according to the Zelf Political Report released Monday.

Zelf, a TikTok listening and analytics platform, found that most of these posts were positive, giving Harris a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of +49 percent.

Harris launched her personal TikTok account on Thursday. Since joining the app, the vice president's four posts have received over 81 million views and 9.6 million likes. She has also racked up 3.2 million followers. The decision to join TikTok comes as Harris has spurred recent viral trends, like a coconut tree meme and references to the Charli XCX album Brat.

So the teenagers love her. That’s amazing!
I'll never understand this crusade against technology that enables quick viewing of endless amounts of hot women dance around barely clothed. Now that's WEIRD!
Or you could just skip over the teasing and watch some porn. Did you go out in your single days just to look at females dressed slutty or did you try to get them naked and get laid.

probably some mysterious laptop

I keep seeing people say this, but I just don't see it.
Before Elon, my Twitter feed was mostly left wing propaganda like BrooklynDadDefiant and JoJoFromJerzee, even though I had never followed them or clicked on a single one of their posts.

After Elon, I still get some uninvited political stuff(overwhelmingly right wing propaganda) but not nearly as much as I had before. Much of this is from Elon himself and it seems that his posts are going to show up whether you follow him or not.

Also, I still have the option to seek out and follow the left wing folks, unlike before where the right wing folks were routinely banned for spreading "misinformation".

Before Musk took over, Twitter was left-biased, but still readable and useful.

Lately, it seems like every tweet is immediately overtaken by dozens of unrelated viral videos. It's nearly impossible to make out any coherent threads.

I assume you are talking about in the replies to any tweet?

This is a valid take. There was some of that before, but it is definitely pervasive now. That said, the replies are way more avoidable than what is on the "For You" page, which is what I was referencing.

Harris has stuff with Beyonce background music in a couple and the production quality is very good. I can see how it's attractive to young folks. Basically crafted for the audience and they do a good job IMO.
I was driving in a car this weekend with 2 no pic teenage girls and my no pic 22 year old daughter. They were playing Kamala Tik Toks the entire time.

TikTok collected views on abortion, gun control from U.S. users, Justice Department says

The Justice Department warned, in stark terms, of the potential for what it called "covert content manipulation" by the Chinese government, saying the algorithm could be designed to shape the content that users receive.
Well duh...the whole algorithm is set to show you content you will be interested in/engage with. Positive/negative/etc. it's all about engagement.

Also, the Harris campaign is offering TikTok influencers money to make positive content about her. I presume the Trump campaign is too, I just haven't seen videos of people saying they were offered money from his campaign.
