Time for my annual rant about Round 2 schedule

i like the use of the cable channels to show all games during the first round, but I hate what it's done to the second round. At 5:30 this afternoon only two games will have been completed. Tip times:
11:00
1:30 (so half hour with no games from 1:00-1:30)
4:00
5:00
6:00
6:30
7:30
8:30

I suppose this new setup allows you to watch more of each game, and maybe I'm in the minority but I'd rather they have some overlapping afternoon games - I want to keep track of the tourney but don't need to watch every minute of every game. And Maybe evening TV gets better ratings?

Does anyone else get bored with only one game at a time until 5:00?

Obviously depends on the game. If the game turns into a blowout early, I watch something else.

I've always hated the 2nd round set up. Of the 4 games you can watch completely only 1 is a 4/5 match up which is the best seed match up you can get. Yeah that doesn't guarantee a good game but does increase chances slightly.

Exactly. In the round of 16, there is simply no reason why the 4 games on Th and the 4 games on Friday aren't televised nationwide in their entirety. Regional semi-final and regional final is my favorite week of the tournament.

I'm fine with the sweet 16 round now as long as they stagger the tips so I can see the end of all the games. I did hate back when they did regional coverage on only CBS and we'd get stuck with the game I didn't want.
