We had an entire season of making fun of Iowa’s defense. That said, Iowa would not have lost a game to a team that scored 51 points. Nobody... not UCLA, the Lakers, or ‘39 Germany... would have held the Hawkeyes to 49 points.

I’m thinking Virginia of 2019 may have. A very average Wisconsin team held Iowa to 62.

What happened is that the B1G's second-rate talent and athleticism reared its ugly head yet again. Once again, it's a tough league chock-full of good teams, but no truly elite ones.

That will change next year with the 3 High School All Americans Juwan is bringing to Michigan.

The Big Ten was the best league in the country because they killed the ACC, and The Big East teams in the preseason. The Pac 12 surprised everyone. I'd love to see a Big 10, Pac 12 tournament on the schedule sometime. That would be fun getting some different type competition.
