I'm sure they regretted it, won't get too harsh on fans that showed up in the first place and made it a sellout for a team that's been unranked almost all season. I think many learned a lesson today

And do you really beat traffic when you leave a few minutes early?
Good question!

I only attend a couple of BB games per year, but based on my experience with football, traffic is worse during blowouts when people leave early. Not so bad when everyone stays until the end. I suppose only the first people out really save any time...and it's only a few minutes.

I have never run into traffic delays with basketball, staying until the end. But then, I park on the street and leave via Dubuque St.

Yeah haha it’s mostly tough not to want to leave early after the prior two game being tough to watch. But on a weekend I probably would have stayed.

I'll turn a game on TV off if they are playing like crap and I can't stand watching it. However, I never have, and never will, leave a game early other than for emergency reasons. I don't understand people who pay money to go to a game then leave with a couple of minutes left. And no, beating traffic is a s*** reason.

I stayed until the end but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t close to leaving early. Even mentioned leaving to the wife a couple of times.
I wouldn’t be leaving early to beat the traffic either. I would have left early because I was tired of watching crappy play. Plus I really figured they would get it back to around 5 and lose. And why sit through that. Especially when the last 1:30 of game time took about 20 actual minutes.

These people are pukes. Same people that left the Iowa vs Purdue football game when Iowa was #2 in the country. A comeback in that game was FAR more realistic than this comeback vs MSU. Absolutely disgusting

Dolph just said the comeback down 12 with under a minute left is one of the greatest ever in NCAA, not just B1G.
Tex A/M did the same thing to UNI a few years ago in the 1st round of the NCAAs....which honestly might be a little bigger stage...
Always need to be careful when using “greatest” because somewhere there just might be one just as great if not greater...

I used to subscribe to that notion for football….then I sat in traffic for nearly two hours after the ISU game this year and now I am one of those people who leaves when I feel the game is done.

I don’t blame anyone for trying to avoid a miserable traffic experience…fool me once, shame on me…

Idk if I would’ve left because Iowa kept hitting 3s, but I would’ve been out of my seats watching from the top

I also went to the ISU game this year and had no problem getting home in the exact same amount of time as it always takes. They have Google Maps on phones now, maybe try that.

If you need to "beat traffic" after an 11am game in perfect weather, just stay home.
