To everyone at Carver who left early

why is it a thing on here instead of enjoying a miracle comeback, the first instinct/reaction is to worry about what other people did.
Same reason some bitch about Fran and his use of Connor and Patrick, or for that matter just about anything. Because it's human nature to think you know more about a given situation than others and that you are inherently correct

Very entertaining— congrats to the Hawks! I’m happy for my 21 year old son (Senior at Iowa) who attended. At least he’ll have a fun memory from Iowa basketball.
That ending was a once-in-a-lifetime experience worth the price of admission, including his full four (five?) years at the U. He’ll remember that a long, long time.

These people are pukes. Same people that left the Iowa vs Purdue football game when Iowa was #2 in the country. A comeback in that game was FAR more realistic than this comeback vs MSU. Absolutely disgusting
Ah, sounds like you were at both games and stayed? Good for you. I know it was 2 decades ago so the memory can be fuzzy but I'm guessing you are talking 02 Purdue game? If so, Iowa had just snuck in the top 25 at 24 for that game and got to #3 at end of season before losing to USC but were never 2.

When Iowa played Purdue ranked #2 they lost 24-7. And plenty left early. Disgusting, I know

I'm not going to bag on people leaving an event early, I don't know their motivation for doing so, nor do I care.

But doing so may result in regret. I invited by younger brother and nephew down for the 2016 Iowa vs. Michigan football game. After Beathard threw the interception with under 2 minutes to go, my bro and nephew left so they could "beat traffic". I tried to dissuade them since Iowa still had 3 timeouts left, but off they went. As you all know they ended up missing a great Iowa win.

I have BB season tickets and I routinely walk to the top of the concourse during a lull in the game with under a minute to go and watch the final seconds from the top. I always ride the Hancher Cambus Game Shuttle and this ensures that I will be on the first bus back to Hancher and can avoid the post-game traffic crush right after it ends. But I never leave the arena until the final horn sounds because I'd kick myself if I missed an ending like MSU last Saturday.

No I'm taking about the 24-7 game. Bigger comebacks have been made

I'll turn a game on TV off if they are playing like crap and I can't stand watching it. However, I never have, and never will, leave a game early other than for emergency reasons. I don't understand people who pay money to go to a game then leave with a couple of minutes left. And no, beating traffic is a s*** reason.
I do the same. If the game sucks to watch i have the dvr but if I'm at the event I've always stayed. I watched the entire game and am glad i did. It goes into the memory file of great games that I'll always remember.

And FTR, I've been to a few games in my life that I absolutely would have shut off if I was at home (#1 on that list was IA/WMich in 2007). But, I've never left early.

I would have been standing by a railing I'm not going to lie but would have hung around to make sure. Hilarious to see all the empties in OT. Crowd sounded great even at 50% capacity for OT.
Crazy how much noise less people can make when they actually are engaged in the game. Of course it didn’t hurt that the Hawks elevated their hustle and the 3’s started to drop. Great W.
