I’m not sure why some call him a good man? Heard he was a total d-bag to many of our players.

The big knocks I heard were mostly that he was lazy and made zero effort to sell the program to the boosters, fans, or recruits. Top that off with a boring style of ball and players that didn’t trust him, and it was a mess. Not sure if he was a good guy or a bad guy, but I wish him health in his retirement. Was so thankful that Barta pulled the plug on that mess when he did.

Well it turned out all his genius was this little guy named Brad Stevens... who was his ‘assistant’.

he was really nice when I met him. A little too nice. It was like meeting your accountant neighbor who keeps to himself. There was nothing alpha dog ( for lack of a better word) about him. Total opposite from most coaches / athletes I have met. It was strange.
