Yeah that's the way they are. I'm still surprised there is not language somewhere in the US code that states an elected official does their job in a timely manner or gets removed. Similar to approving appointments. The POTUS appoints a SCOTUS justice the approval hearings begin in a designated reasonable time. No one person should get to delay indefinitely. Shit like this from either side pisses me off.
