While I agree with most of your post, the door is slammed shut next year. Even losing Suriano, I believed they would win it and that it would have taken a Herculian effort by another team to pull it off. That they did what they did in the finals was pretty amazing. I thought Zain and Nolf were shoo-ins, and that Hall could definitely beat Jordan but that the other two would lose. Still, 3/5 would be a nice cap to a strong tourney. I do think Cenzo and Hall are vulnerable next year but then you have a presumably healthy Suriano (Top 4) and and returning 5th placer in Nevills so it looks like this:
125 Suriano-Top 4 (I wouldn't have a hard time picking him for the finals)
133 Cortez-6-DNP (Here is the wildcard...Cortez hasn't impressed and is a low scorer. Still, he is solid)
141-Lee (?)-If he puts on weight over the summer, he could be dangerous
149-Retherford-Champ
157-Nolf-Champ
165-Cenzo- Top 4
174-Hall-Top 4
184-Bo-Champ
197-Cutch? 5-DNP
HWY-Nevills Top 4
This is PSU for the next two seasons. Going to be impossible to beat next year and very tough to beat in 2019. Good chance they will have four three time champs (Ruth, Retherford, Nolf, Nickal) by COB March 2020. Thanks God for the fundraising thread...I might need a drink after typing all this out. However, our 2021 lineup will be stout and I expect us to finish second in 2019.
