People get emotional after a hard fought victory. For all I know he could be a total d-bag, but him punting the football in that situation doesn't necessarily make him one.

Penn State is definitely not nearly as hate worthy as several other Big Ten teams. I'd rate them a 7 on the rivalry scale and a 5 on the hatred of team scale. I don't imagine that McSorley was bs'ing in that article however, it was a pretty accurate assessment of the players/team, stadium, environment and crowd that day.

I 110% disagree; 1.) Yes, he is a total d-bag. 2.) Act like you've played the game before, like you've been on a big stage. Same goes for a TD in the NFL and why its becoming a circus. When you score, high five your teammates, slap them on the helmet, move on. Even if it was the end of the game and its not a delay of game, its a show of respect to the opposing team who just took you to the wire. To me, its an ego thing. Same reason I don't really like Baker Mayfield.

Did you feel the same way earlier in the game when JJ did the homerun swing after his pick? How about Fant rowing the boat after his TD in the Minny game? I agree with you on the contrived correographed junk that happens in the NFL.

I watched the Iowa-PSU game yesterday on ESPNU. Josey Jewell played a lights out game. He was all over the field making plays with grit and determination. He, as much as anybody, was the reason we stayed in that game right up to the end. Josey put on one the greatest performances you will every see from a LB.

I'm not saying you don't have a point, but I've played sports, particularly football, and know what it feels like to get emotional and excited. Yes, it probably showed poor judgment, but I'll take punting the football any day over a guy who assaults and preys on chicks or treats others as lesser beings. If he is like that, then yes, d-bag is appropriate.

I also played sports, and I also know for a fact my coach(es) would have pulled me aside later and reamed my ass had I done something like that. Don't know for sure, but I'm not positive James Franklin would have/did that...but I'm not a huge fan of him either. He does way too much talking.

This is one of the reasons I really like B1G football. Sure, there are a few dicks, but overall there is so much class and mutual respect from the players. College students, playing football, competing to win but have bigger goals in mind. That's what I want to see in college football.

Important, I never said I liked Tracey McSorass ... but he’s a hell of a QB and has balls of steel.. he’s one tough QB That can Single handily change the entire face of the game by throwing, scrambling etc.. he’s like the energizer bunny and keeps taking hits but gets back up and does his shit all over again.. I will surely be happy when he’s gone that’s for sure he’s a nightmare to prepare for and a tough SOB

honestly, I like McSorley much more than James Franklin's smug attitude. He's the one that has rubbed me wrong (sorry bad word to use when talking PSU) over the years and that was even pre-PSU.
