Saw Griffith imply in a video post yesterday that he’s probably done at Stanford and will either conclude his college career or transfer. However, I don’t see a fit at Iowa at 165 or 174.

I say we just take all the wrestlers that won national titles this year and are coming back next year........................and have them transfer to Iowa so they can win national titles for Iowa as well.

Cardenas is a big Koll guy. Originally committed to Cornell then flipped to Stanford when Koll did. I’d be shocked if he left.

How many kids did Koll ever lose at Cornell, zero. Dean left after Koll did. I just don't see that well producing now.

We missed an opportunity by not getting Mendez. At the time Mendez announced we had Spencer and Drake. Jesuroga had committed as well, if I remember correctly?

Rumor (unconfirmed) has it that Mendez got a very nice NIL package at tOSU that clinched the deal.

Cael did mention the loss of a Big time recruit with the inference NIL played a big role. At that time PSU had a very conservative compliance policy towards NIL, and it was hurting recruiting. That Cael mention, coincided with tOSUs big haul recruiting class from a timeframe POV. The assumption is it was one of tOSUs big 3, maybe not, but the chatter started to point towards Mendez. In reality it could have been Bouzakis or Mullen, or some other kid elsewhere. It could be that Iowa was also very close on Mendez, but the NIL pulled him away.

In either case I see him competing for a NC next year most likely up at 141. He is going to be really good

I don't know who "they" are but everyone on the IC forum really wanted him but having Nate and Drake in the fold lessened the need unless he would grow to 41.
