Pretty ridiculous our coaches haven't done anything to remedy this yet. I hope they figure it out soon. This is what I've come to know the last 15 years. If we have an incomplete pass on first down - we run on 2nd down 100% of the time. If we are unsuccessful on a run on first down, we pass it on 2nd down 100% of the time. If we audible - the defense knows what we're doing 100% of the time.

When we have a good team - we can out execute the defense even though they know it's coming. When we're average or below, they eat us up. We're getting eaten up right now. Love Kirk when we have the studs. But every once in a while you need to out-coach teams to get wins when you have lesser talent. That happens for us once every 3 years or so. Harbaugh might be the only coach actually better than him that he's beat (while having less talent) in the last 10 years. The play calling has to change, period. I don't have a problem with our system. Just need to become less predictable. I know this is a bit of a broken record, but I needed to vent.

Not only this, but plays and tendencies have changed this year with new OC.

Sure there are still problems with tendencies, big ones, but hyperbolic bullshit proved wrong in the first response isn't helpful or clever.

Our O has not been fun to watch the last 2 games for sure.

But I'll be at Kinnick Saturday anyway. And I'll be hopeful that things turn around. You know they usually do.

The OP is exaggerating, but our trends have gone in a bad direction the last couple weeks.

We had run out of a 3-WR set a lot more this year than ever in the past. But now we're going back to running the ball in a phone both.

I don't know why the staff thinks that audibling to a run to the boundary is in any way helpful.
