This series might have been the worst television series I've ever watched. I can't believe I gave it 6 hours of my time. What a bleak dark disjointed mess.

I’ve watched a couple unsolved crime documentaries on HBO recently that went hours to only say it’s still a mystery. I’m like wtf did you make this for if there’s no ending. The last one was about some Jim guy who was a dick and maybe a murder… but maybe just a dick. Never watching one of those again.
Six hours of spooky noises. With a slapdash vigilante ending out of a Scooby Doo cartoon.

The OG Wicker Man is soooooo good. In a sooo bad kind of way. 10 stars out of 5.
ya, if it was just ep 1 and 2nd half of ep 5, and ep 6, it would have been a lot better. they just had too much repeating of young prior and his wife, Danvers and daughter teenage drama, Navarro and her sister, Navorro and boy toy, and just .. not much investigating.
If they cut down on that shit and added some actual detective tidbits, prob would have been a lot better.

Mostly agree. But I also think the adoration of S1 is a little overdone. It was fine but, honestly, the culprit just came out of left field.
There has been a lot of speculation that this was pitched as something else than TD, and HBO was like make it work for TD, so she just kind of slapped some S1 crap in it.
I think it could have worked better if it was it's own stand alone series like Mare, or Outsiders, and just cut changed anything to do with S1, as there was no relation to the symbols, tuttle, Chole that was even important. Just basically confirmed it was in the same universe.
Never heard of the Wicker Man but after reading a synopsis, the movie Midsommer is basically the Wicker Man. This is more murder on the orient express, where a detective tries to figure out who murdered someone, but really, everyone was in on it but the detective.
I dunno....could have had Alexandra for a cameo. Maybe her character moves to Alaska due to heartache?
