You do realize when a force is outmanned 10 to 1 . The crowd becomes the weapon. Trump watched it all unfold for 3 hours and didn’t do anything to calm them down or order backup for the Capitol Police.
I will defend the United States of America against all enemies foreign or domestic. He violated his Oath that day as POTUS.
People celebrating him and his self serving act of cowardice that day are truly sad.

If you bust out windows in the capitol while Congress members hide for their lives, because the mob you're part of has the intent to kill people and overturn the election, you really don't get to claim that you weren't violent so should be let go.

It is illegal to enter a federal building without going through security.
It is illegal to bear arms inside a federal building.
It is illegal to deface Federal buildings and Federal property.

That’s just the stuff re a Federal Building. I think that some may have enough brain power to understand that attacking a federal employee is a crime.
There are many crimes involved.
This was an insurrection, whether people like it or not. It’s against the law, despite one’s political party.
Suck it up and admit it for what it was, regardless of your political affiliation.
The actions of the mob were against the law. Period.

However. I’m an historian and genealogist. I spend a lot of time in state libraries. I know the drill.
I went to NIGR. In DC, very specific about the rules in the buildings.
I was also a delegate to NAL, meeting with congress, once again very specific rules.
And, for the record, no one news source gets my full attention, however, I don’t do Fox, nor Newsmax and the other stuff you MAGAs do.
