Trump lowering taxes for incomes over $360k and raising for everyone else?

I’m not defending Trump in any form - since I didn’t vote for him. However I do remain a conservative Republican
You are claiming that the Biden Administration “brought the US through global inflation without a recession”. Not me.
I just returned from grocery shopping for our holiday dinner where I paid $7.99 for a pound of store brand butter and $10.99 for two dozen eggs.
The only tall task involved in this situation is controlling my anger at the prices.
Some good news is that gas is now around $2.88 a gallon. I saved enough to pay for the butter. Merry Christmas!

You don't know how to shop. At your age....unacceptable.

It’s Biden’s fault you don’t know how to shop?

Yeah, inflation skyrocketed because of a combination of Trump policies and covid. Biden had inflation back down to acceptable levels within 3 years, just like he said he would. Prices don't just go down after they have gone up. Companies won't do that. But Biden did, in fact, fix the problem.

But, Trump will put on more tarriffs and have more irresponsible tax cuts so you'll get to see inflation go up again. I guess they will still try and blame Biden for that too. Although, it looks like Trump tax plan 2 will actually raise taxes on the vast majority of Americans so that might keep people from spending money and keep inflation down. The sacrifices 80-90% of Americans will have to make to let billionaires have even more money.
LOL - Put down the Morning Joe talking points.

“Facts”????
I have never been to Truth Social - but sweetie your sentence saying that Biden guided us through inflation (do you grocery shop or just pick up a few things at Whole Paycheck from time to time) is seriously a sad thing.
Mom… did inflation go down following the Nixon / Fird/ Carter inflation of the 1970’s? Nope.
The only thing that really slowed it down was the recession of the Carter and Reagan years. Are we gonna face a raft of “sheriff’s auctions” and bankruptcies to slow down this current inflation? I don’t think so. But like the inflation if the 70’s, commodity prices are not going to “go down”…once prices jump, they stay up. That’s capitalism.

1. Was there a recession? 2. Has the US had better inflation rates than the the rest of the developed nations?

Presidential administrations don’t “cause inflation”

They do get blamed, though, because voters are idiots.

So, Biden made food unaffordable but gas is cheap again?
Absolutely nobody has said inflation doesn’t exist, it’s how the US weathered a global rise in prices compared to other nations. Hint, we did better than most diverse economies.
Also, and this has been repeatedly pointed out, thank the Avian Flu for rising egg prices.
The Avian Flu has been going on for four years?

I can find prices half what she claims. Blame Florida
Just bought two pounds of butter for $3.79 each. We have our own hens so don't give a shit about the price of eggs, but I noticed they were $3.09 a dozen for the commercially produced ones. Also, how many eggs are these people eating that this is having any impact on their budget at all?

Winn Dixie store brand butter four sticks/one pound was $7.99.
Two cartons of eggs (large container of 18) were $10.99 at BJ’s Wholesale.
Baking for the holiday bumps demand.

Outside of winter, I get eggs from in-laws. But I'm not scared to buy down the street if I am in a bind.

Frankly, ARRP members should limit their egg intake Goldy.

I bought them because the Egg casserole I’m taking to brunch at relatives on Christmas morning calls for 9 eggs.
I limit my personal intake to about 2 hard boiled eggs a week. But the cholesterol/eggs thing is largely overblown. Morning protein is very important for all ages, seniors included. AARP or not.

Wherever it is you live, my point stands. You got robbed. Don’t complain about paying a few dolars more
I did not get robbed. 36 eggs $10.99. Two cartons of 18. That’s three dozen. Figure it out, if you can.
And butter has gotten super crazy.
Plus the holidays make these things very much in demand.
My gosh some of you are stubbornly clinging to things to argue.

Obviously there are regional price differences. Those are high prices though. Come on up to Iowa for savings but bring a warm coat. Happy baking to you. We're on batch #3 with the kids tonight.
