Nope. Reagan also knew how to negotiate like Trump. That’s why he walked when the Soviets wanted him to give up SDI.Reagan is rolling over in his grave

Israel does a lot of our CIA's dirty work when our CIA can't conduct black ops with money that doesn't have Congressional oversight. It is different from Ukraine in this way. I'm not saying you are wrong or right, what I'm saying is I'd need to think through this a long time before I came to your conclusion. On the one hand we need to stop meddling becuase of things like the most newsworthy recent events. On the other hand I'm not sure where national security should start, and I suspect Israel is an integral part of our dirty business. Some of which might be necessary.Israel's debt to GDP is 69%.
US debt to GDP is around 125%, which is higher than after we fought WW2, our previous peak.
They shouldn't get a penny, especially considering we have to borrow everything we give them.

It's as complicated an issue as Ukraine is. Meaning I'm not going to form an opinion based on misleading social media posts like some are doing with Ukraine.

The Saudis are pigsWhat did you think of our standagainstwith the criminal aggression of the Saudi monarchy in Yemen?
Obama didn't even try to put he 'rules based international order' lipstick on that pig, although he did embarrass himself congratulating their tyrant (hand picked by the monarchs on the Gulf Cooperation Council) for winning a single candidate election as a success for 'democracy'.
That shit was shameful, but the press did a pretty good job of ignoring it.
The trade off might be our CIA becomes more powerful, and by necessity more secret as Israel does things our CIA (supposedly) is barred from doing. Which they probably do anyway. I'm pretty much with you on everything else. This one is just more complicated for me becuase I'm not at all comfortable with out NIC.We won our Indian Wars.
Not interested in helping Israel fight theirs.
Actually, I would anticipate Zelenskyy now coming back to the negotiating table. This also allows the U.S. to replenish its weapons inventory, which has been depleted. Why? Europe can step up, no?
Always freaking projection with these assholes. Treasonous Russian assets.
I suspect you are correct, and signs are pointing towards this.Actually, I would anticipate Zelenskyy now coming back to the negotiating table. This also allows the U.S. to replenish its weapons inventory, which has been depleted.

A mineral rights deal with the U.S. would have, in effect, provided a measure of security to Ukraine as America would protect such interests in case of more Russian aggression. From what I understand, the U.S. "deal" took minerals from Ukraine and guaranteed little or nothing in return. It was considered repayment for previous U.S. financial and military aid. No security guarantees. No guarantees of future funding. Nothing.

I actually agree with this to an extent. I even said the same before Friday The problem for Zelenskyy and Ukraine are the parties to the deal. Without some kind of security deal there is nothing preventing Putin from another invasion to take all of Ukraine which is what Putin still wants. The U.S. likely still won't be of a mind to send in troops or spend more money and if Trump or someone like minded is in office, it's more likely that a deal gets cut directly with Putin to continue the mineral rights agreement in return for staying out of it. Why should the U.S. be trusted to do anything else at this point?A mineral rights deal with the U.S. would have, in effect, provided a measure of security to Ukraine as America would protect such interests in case of more Russian aggression.
I understand what you posted. I'm in favor of almost everything you said. Except Israel. I need some time to think through that and process it. If you think I support any additional aid to Ukraine until they sue for peace you'd be incorrect. One of the reasons I'm uncomfortable giving US NIC more power is what they did in Ukraine circa 2012. It's unfortunate for the people of Ukraine, just like it was for Pearl Harbor victims, but Zelenskyy is a little twerp and they are an ally to us only by virtue of their location. If the little ****er signs the asset deal I might slightly reconsider. The little ****er sounds very close to signing it based on today's news.
Do you realize it would be 7 to 10 years to get any product out of the region if they started now? It's a PR campaign, and not putting gold bars in an armored truck.A mineral rights deal with the U.S. would have, in effect, provided a measure of security to Ukraine as America would protect such interests in case of more Russian aggression.
This is totally you. Were the elections legally cancelled with support of the government and people?Elections being cancelled in Ukraine….
I wonder why Tulsi.![]()
MAGA loves to not tax the rich and spend. At least the Democrats are responsible.
Why is the right call?Hurts a little because I really wanted Ukraine to win, but it's the right call.
