Trump pulling US out of NATO?

Pay your bills.

Asked about Trump considering making these changes to how the U.S. engages with NATO, a National Security Council official said in a written statement, “President Trump is committed to NATO and Article V.”

Sen. Chris Coons, of Delaware, the top Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee for Defense and a senior senator on the Foreign Relations panel, said Trump’s nominee to be U.S. ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, “gave very reassuring answers” on the administration’s commitment to NATO and Article 5.

Actions speak louder than words. Especially with Trump who changes his mind every day. His administration’s words don’t mean shit.

This is wonderful.

I’m not sure if my fellow Americans will ever wake up….but the only way they might is if there is absolute chaos to their retirements, their communities…etc. so the more stuff Trump destabilizes the better in my opinion.
Trump will blame it on Nancy Pelosi.

Trust me. This base is already covered.

I will bet anyone on here $100 that he doesn’t pull out of NATO. It’s all talk to get them to start paying their fair share. They pay nothing on defense knowing they have a safety net in America. It’s his way of getting tjem to do what they should. Have you learned nothing of how Trump works?
I’ll bet $100 we are still in NATO a year from now.

7D chess, got it. Very few of the NATO members are below the 2 percent target at this time. Lots of that spending is on US made weaponry.
He reads and writes at a 4th grade level, and has no understanding of world history, or how to negotiate long term agreements. He's a moron. You want to talk about freeloaders, let's see Trump apply this to Gulf states that buy high ticket items, but have no manpower to defend themselves.

Then why won't Trump say publicly that he's committed to NATO? These people are very obviously spinning damage control for your Idiot In Chief. Jesus Fvck, why do you need to defend every God damned thing he says?

Trump ran on getting people to actually pay their fair share. America is the checking* account and police department for every country in the world, there is a reason we have such high bills.

Notice how quickly the European countries said they were not going to send their guys into Ukraine? Everyone talks tough when they think they have the biggest brother.

Owned as in Trump’s a useful idiot.

I can only imagine the daily snickering at the Kremlin. I honestly believe Trump has no idea how badly Putin is playing him like a fiddle.
Owned by Putin has instructed him on what he wants him to do. I'm pretty sure, for some reason, Trump is afraid of him.

Are you claiming the US would spend less on defense if we were not a NATO member or if other NATO countries invested more in their militaries?

Haha, no.

I'm not foolish enough to think that cat can go back in the bag.

The world however would be a safer place, assuming you believe nato makes the world safer.

apparently it’s great fun to expend other people’s monies and lives but it’s different dipping into one’s own savings
